Newest Burnout Paradise update delayed again
After supposedly being delayed only a few days, the latest update for Burnout Paradise has been delayed once again. The Cagney update, which contains three new game modes, 70 freeburn challenges some new cars and more, will still of course be totally free, but us 360 gamers are now going to have to wait until around the 24th of this month before we see it. Apparently the Microsoft QA team spotted a few bugs and it'll take a few more weeks to squash 'em. Hey, it's always better to nip these things in the bud before they become a larger problem.[Via Joystiq]

Speaking of "it's allways better to nip these thing" in the bud, you might want to nip that typo in the bud, Terrence (lol, terrible joke, I know). Staying on topic though, I'm really glad that all the Burnout Paradise udpates are free! Just another factor to motivate me to buy it.

Love the Sony reference.

"Hey, it's always better to nip these things in the bud before they become a larger problem."
Wow someone's bitter! By things do you mean failures? Like RRoD? Or disc-scratching? Or the many firmware updates that bricked 360s in the past? Lol one'd think that of all people a 360Fanboy blogger would be understanding of a few bugs...
Hooligunn @ Jul 10th 2008 9:46PM
It's called comedy man. Lighten up. The joke was pretty good tbf.
Slomo @ Jul 10th 2008 9:51PM
It would have been good on WiiFanboy.com. But on a site about a console plagued by issues since launch, and about a delay that only affects said console, the joke becomes irony, with a slight taste of bitterness.

JESUS CHRIST
what the hell is it in here, PS3 Fanboy flame bait day? God, And I keep biting.
GO HOME.

Are the cars free in the update? Or will you have to download and pay for them separately on the Marketplace?
DJcube @ Jul 11th 2008 9:18AM
You don't have to pay for them, but you'll need to unlock some of them.
Meximan @ Jul 10th 2008 9:59PM
Someone is upset that the best update to Paradise is being delayed on their console. Boo hoo. Road Rage and Marked Man online kick ass! Don't worry you'll know on the 14th. Oh wait know you won't!
Sony just wanted to follow in MS's footsteps but unfortunately couldn't get enough consoles to crash... :(
In all sincerity, why do you think Sony has been delaying HOME all this time. They learned from MS's mistakes and now know not to rush a crappy service/console into the market, knowing that it's error prone.
You act like FW 2.40 was the RRoD or something. At least Sony takes full responsibility quickly instead of waiting months before things get out of hand. And Sony plans to repair all bricked PS3s caused by the update. No need for an extended warranty which WILL expire eventually. See you on the other side in two years guys...
Mr.U2 @ Jul 11th 2008 12:09AM
I lol at your attempt to create a fanboy flame war. Go back to your PS3 fanboy site, and just be happy that you get the update first... without causing any more strife. That's all I ask.

OH MY GOD
This was by far the worst internets posting I have read in the last month. Congrats on being the dumbest person on the web.
And I'm not just referencing your blind faith in all things sony - And it would behoove you to notes: not all people with a 360 are ms devotees, nor do we expect others to love one or the other inextricably of the other.
Wait, wait... A Lil too highbrow on the werds. (I know you have the internets, but do you have dictionary.com?)
I can't believe I wasted 3 minutes on you. You should change your name because you're a disgrace to real Mexicans everywhere, such as my mom.
Meximan @ Jul 11th 2008 2:16PM
Maybe I got off on the wrong foot. I don't "blindly" follow Sony. And I never said I hated MS or the 360. In fact I wish I had the money to get both. I just decided to get a PS3 first so sue me. I'm no fanboy. I'm just trying to say "Look in the mirror before calling people ugly". You call out Sony for having faulty firmware, when your own console has worse things to worry about. I now see that it was a joke but I don't think the author as a 360Fanboy is in any position to crack that kind of joke. But who cares what I think right? Obviously you guys don't. Some of you may. But unless I posted "Microsoft=Win!" then I guess this is going to get voted down also.
(And yes I realize my "see you on the other side" was very Fanboyish. I just want to say that "the other side" is the nuetral side. They are both great consoles)

It always surprises me when I see that MS is holding up certification because they've found bugs. Meanwhile I've downloaded tons of content and played many games that has been wrought with OBVIOUS bugs. The kind of bugs where 10 minutes into playing the game you see 50 forum posts about how a game isn't working properly.

I've been a bug tester (I never was any good at catching the spelling errors ;) and sometimes it was surprising the amount of bugs like the kind you're describing that would get a "Won't Fix."
The ones they're talking about are likely related to performance, online interaction or something to do with base-level function.
Exiled360 @ Jul 11th 2008 1:11AM
Hey Terrence can you find out why they pulled the marathon dlc from the marketplace?
Gemini Ace @ Jul 11th 2008 8:14AM
I'll be playing Revenge.
