Looking to expand their already rich library, EA just
announced some new
Rock Band downloadable content that's headed our way as part of a partnership between them and
Madden NFL 09. According to the press release, "'
Rock Band' will feature music from the '
Madden 09' soundtrack in its weekly downloadable songs update, a handful at a time, over several weeks, with each song carrying the '
Madden' brand." Though, at what price, which tracks from the album and when they'll release are all question marks right now. That said, we do know every track that is on the soundtrack (conveniently listed after the break) and it's also interesting to note that some of the
Madden 09 soundtrack songs are already available as
Rock Band DLC including The Offspring's "Hammerhead" and Disturbed's "Inside the Fire". Whatever happens, we say keep the DLC coming.

Oh God, that soundtrack is awful. Why does EA have to whore out Rock Band like that?

Other than that, where's the rest of the Offspring songs we were supposed to be getting?

Be great if John Madden was a playable Rock Band character...

Some songs would be perfect for RB; others would just be plain weird to play.

why are you guys complaining? if you don't want it don't download it. theres lots of other songs that you can get.
From that list i see a few i'd want. Airbourne, Shinedown, Rev Theory. fun stuff.

I'm lost though...Tyga is a rapper. Oh well some of this is actually interesting because it's different. We shall see how some of these songs (diamond life lol) play.

MADDEN 09/RB HAS IN FLAMES?!?! EA just got some cool points. good song that they picked too.

An alright list, but how are they gonna incorporate rap songs? Either the vocals on screen are gonna have to be slowed down...
We Made It, ain't that bad...it's got a backing beat similar to Papercut, so drums and guitar should be easy for that song...
As for the others, Senses Fail, MSI & The Offspring spark my interest...I will preview before I buy though..

Even if that Linkin Park/Busta Rhymes song is free I'm not going to download it. That is an AWFUL song (and I'm a fan of some of Busta's stuff).
