EndWar to brave retail this October
While screaming commands into a headset Joystiq found a moment to extrapolate release information from UbiSoft for the upcoming RTS, Tom Clancy's EndWar. According to the rep EndWar will ship on October 14 in Europe and North America.
What? Not familiar with Tom Clancy's EndWar? The upcoming real-time strategy game includes a voice-control option where players can issue commands through a headset rather than use traditional button presses (which you can also use).

Sounds great!
Word of advice though, prepared to get an HD if you want to read the text.

omg this game was shitty. i was in the beta. it was garbage. the only thing that was good was the voice command. i love RTS's and i play em all, but this one was just bad. idk.

This game was awesome in my opinion. The beta was so much fun and I cant wait for the game.

I was in the beta, and I didn't really care for it. Give me a standard RTS, and then I'll have fun.

Does anyone else remember how we were promised voice commands on the original Xbox with the live headset?

We sort of did with Rainbow six "Open, frag and clear on zulu" But it had it's share of problems.

Was in on the Beta, worst "RTS" in awhile, i use that very loosely because a game that dumbed down is hard to call a RTS.

Is this a MMORTS cause Wiki keeps saying it is?
I'm still buying my library needs to get up to 20.

Basically it works the same way Chromehounds did. You pick a side and the leaderboard basically tracks wins for each side and shows which areas are controlled. So it is persistent but it's not an MMO.

Hey does this come with a mic for use of the voice commands?
Mike @ Jul 17th 2008 1:46AM
Don't all 360's come with a mic? Why add another

Ha Ubi gone soft and replaced Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six with this kind of game products? Is there another military/counter-terrorism CoOp game that allows at least four-players?
I may have to put my 10-month old PS3 to use beyond its current Blu-ray duties (never played a PS3 game) and try SOCOM. Tired of waiting for my next Ubi-fix.

Well lets see people whats is the use of a beta to get feedback a course and lets not forget that beta are early version of the game. Meaning the beta that we all got was probley from the first three to five months of the works. So for those of you who are coming hard on this game because you didnt like the beta should probley, rent the actual game when it comes out oct 14, then see what you think of it. I personally fell that what ubisoft is doing could revolutionize RTS games with there whole idea on voice commands. Also I fell very comfortable only controlling a certain amount of units unlike most games I know *cough* Command & Conquer. Ohh and yes I did play most of the Command & Conquer series so I know what im talking about. Anyways thats all I got to say if you like you can add me on xbox live at Havoric22.
