Release details were lacking when, during their E3 conference, Microsoft announced their Vision enabled B movie creation game
You're in the Movies. But now, thanks to some
Joystiq detective work, we know that the game will in fact be bundled with the Xbox 360's Vision camera peripheral for a B movie price of $60. That said, MS hasn't revealed any details for obtaining the game outside the Vision bundle or whether or not the $40 stand-alone Vision camera will still be available this Fall. Patience as we figure out this
You're in the Movies distribution confusion

Yeah. I bought mine ages ago, and I already had UNO. They should have had some MS points or a choice instead.
I don't think I'm getting this game, but others may want an option, even if it's through the marketplace.

Man, slow news day.
Craig @ Jul 19th 2008 5:04PM
i saw this like 2 days ago somewhere. you guys are a little behind in some of these news things. i see things on here that are on majornelson.com like 8+ hours ago a lot. don't you guys check that site and others more than once a day?
Tony @ Jul 19th 2008 5:09PM
It is a Saturday. I don't really expect them to worry about this stuff on the weekends, personally.
Anyway, this really should be like $50 total if they want people to bother with it.

Can you get an A in the B movie?

I have 0 interest in the vision cam. This game further solidifies that. And with games like burnout requireing vision cam ownership to get achievments, Im deffeintly not buying one, or any game that has achievments which require a camera.
Take my picture!! @ Jul 19th 2008 7:52PM
You don't spell well. I'd quit worrying about the camera and check out what kind of phonics books your local library has.
007craft @ Jul 20th 2008 1:54AM
nah i spell just fine. I dont type well. Im sloppy and make tons of mistakes. But this aint my resume, so I dont care.
DJcube @ Jul 20th 2008 2:08PM
You avoid games that require a vision camera for some achievements???
I'm sorry, but that's one of the most bizarre things I've read all week,
007craft @ Jul 21st 2008 12:26AM
well i like to get 100% (1000/1000) achievements in every game I play. Im not fond of them forcing me to pay extra $ to earn an achievement. So if I bought burnout paradise, I would be stuck with 980/1000 or something unless I go and spend $30, see?
tan @ Jul 19th 2008 6:19PM
its a okay price i suppose..
but itreally depends how big the game is.. in terms of mini game size and stuff.
this probably means it's gonna be 40£ here in the uk.
btw news is sloww today man!
what about the awesome hendrix guitar hero news?!
and npd?
Jack Tretton @ Jul 19th 2008 7:59PM
Bundling it with the camera will be the only way to move that horrible-looking game.
Peeeet @ Jul 19th 2008 9:17PM
Did anyone see the demonstration they did of this game? Wow! Possibly the most uncomfortably horrible demonstration of a horrible product in all of history.
If you like seeing marketing people make complete asses of themselves I recommend you fire up your 360 right now and go to: e3 bringing it home/announcements/movie games RIGHT NOW.
todd @ Jul 19th 2008 10:16PM
Good deal but I have the camera already...
e.Missark @ Jul 20th 2008 12:08AM
I would not buy this game no matter what they bundle it with.
Dirty Whirlwind @ Jul 20th 2008 8:13AM
Yeah, great detective work, they just said the exact same thing during their press briefing.
KSB @ Jul 20th 2008 9:27AM
I saw that gamestop / ebgames in denmark are selling the xbox live vision cam for 20$ !! and they are selling out real fast.
tried to ask the store if they could reserve one for me when they got stock again, but they told me that the xbox live vision cam is going out of production?!?
luckly another store had one left so I could pick it up :p
EdgeOne @ Jul 21st 2008 9:41AM
You can have mine... I have yet to find a reason to use it. And the damn thing doesn't work as a normal USB webcam with Windows (at least the last time I tried).
Xbox360 tech support told me the Vision Camera (MICROSOFT hardware) is not currently supported by Vista (MICROSOFT software). Nice.
KSB @ Jul 21st 2008 10:45AM
well I just was in the need of a webcam for my old desktop machine and the vision cam seems cute and functional enough. Works fine on Mac with skype
mattclarkie @ Jul 20th 2008 11:10AM
Will people who already got the stupid camera get the game for free, like the download of Totemball.
I sure didn't spend £45 on this thing for Totemball did I.
dRailer @ Jul 20th 2008 4:00PM
Didn't you mean "Urine the Movies?"
The_Punisher @ Jul 21st 2008 4:48PM
Like this game, interesting idea, HORRIBLE execution.
xD
Gemini Ace @ Jul 21st 2008 9:34AM
This was said in the press conference. Why did Joystiq have to do any investigating?
