Rumor: Guitar Hero World Tour setlist leaked
Coming by way of a post over on Gamespot's Gamefaqs forums is a supposed complete list of all the tracks to to be included in Guitar Hero World Tour's setlist. But with absolutely no explanation where the list came from or how it was discovered, we have no choice but to be very, very skeptical. The rumored to be complete setlist (viewable after the break) includes some 73 main songs, 14 bonus tracks, 7 sample songs and 3 guitar battles against Ted Nugent, Zakk Wylde and Sting. Also, if this list turns out to be true, let us be the first to show our excitement for Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama". We sing that song daily while we chow down on breakfast in the morning and we don't even live in Alabama.Eagle Rock High School Tour:

Welcome Elizabeth! xD
I wonder what the Sample songs are for :S
danL77 @ Aug 1st 2008 12:36AM
Completely and totally fake and to a certain extent, idiotic. Sting doesn't even play guitar! He plays bass!
killploki @ Jul 24th 2008 10:51AM
the "hear me roar tour" sounds amazing.....and there is a lot of other good stuff in there. if this is real i am fairly impressed.
Bryan @ Jul 24th 2008 10:55AM
3 songs by Tool? That would be badass.
Adman @ Jul 24th 2008 11:44AM
Very much agreed, would pretty much buy for those three on their own but the rest of this list looks awesome compared to RB2... I sincerely hope at least some of it is true but i can't see things like a whole section dedicated to Tool being hugely believeable... And as someone else said, a Sting battle?!
rookie.of.the.year @ Jul 24th 2008 11:00AM
Why would you have a guitar battle against Sting? He's a bassist. Can't imagine Every Breath You Take being a great track for a music game, either.
Also, two tracks per set, plus an encore seems a bit daft when it's been 4/5 tracks beforehand.
Tracklist is a bit hit and miss on the whole, too. There's some good stuff there, but a fair few I've never even heard of.
Joe @ Jul 24th 2008 11:00AM
Take it Away by the Chili Peppers?
Manvir (El Homer) @ Jul 24th 2008 1:07PM
i think its supposed to be give it away by red hot chili peppers...
Obese Stickman @ Jul 24th 2008 11:02AM
3 songs by tool. Some offspring, muse, and tenacious D.
Wow Gonna be tough choosing which setlist is better.
Hopefully the gear will be confirmed cross compatible.
therpham @ Jul 24th 2008 11:03AM
This song list coupled with compatibility for the Rock Band instruments I already own might just make this something I will buy.
Tony @ Jul 24th 2008 11:05AM
These tour names are ridiculously stupid.
cranium @ Jul 24th 2008 12:55PM
the QQ tour? PRICELESS
Josh @ Jul 24th 2008 11:05AM
...GHWT just beat out RB2, I think. Tool, KoRn, Rob Zombie, Disturbed, Flyleaf, Metallica, Pink Floyd, Ozzy, Dio, Sabbath, Black Label Society, Linkin Park, Lacuna Coil, Shinedown (Sadly, not Devour.), Beat It, Rise Against. Seriously... the Rock Band setlist hardly compares. Only thing it has is the DLC. This post just made my mind for me. I said it a few weeks ago, whoever got Tool got my $200. Looks like I will be sticking to Guitar Hero.
joey @ Jul 24th 2008 11:33AM
It sounded like you want Metal Hero.
Josh @ Jul 24th 2008 12:12PM
Since that is mostly what I listen to... yes.
KFelon @ Jul 24th 2008 4:56PM
Hopefully for us both then this list is real. Tool & Rammstein + Offspring's Kids Aren't Allright would make this a must buy for me, I would still buy Rock Band 2 as well.
TerdFerguson @ Jul 24th 2008 11:09AM
I see numerous spelling errors here, or just straight errors in general. "Give it Away" by the Chili Peppers, "When your heart stops beating" by +44. This being said, I am skeptical of this list.
Mike @ Jul 24th 2008 11:08AM
Kind of a bummer. I hope its just rumor. Its strayin away from the classic rock which I was afraid of. Its turning into Rock Band as far as tracklist. Led Zeppelin? The Who? Stevie Ray Vaughan? CCR? AC/DC? Wouldn't Roadhouse Blues be a better song for the Doors then Light My Fire on a video game?
keebie @ Jul 24th 2008 11:07AM
free bird
Gemini Ace @ Jul 24th 2008 11:07AM
Guitar battle vs. Sting? That's gotta be exciting.
MilesLocMan @ Jul 24th 2008 11:12AM
Hell yes me and the lady will be loosing tons of sleep due to that set list
Deezul @ Jul 24th 2008 11:20AM
Meh. I like the RB2 confirmed track list myself. Plus, I agree with rookie.of.the.year - why go to 2/3 for track lists instead of 4/5 from previous games. Just for more locations? Yeah, that's exactly why I'd buy the game - more fake places to play music. Where's the recording studio? Even American Idol has that...
CAPTN UNDAPANTS @ Jul 24th 2008 11:30AM
smells like teen spirit? 10,000 fists? master of puppets? all around me? man in the box? bat country? crazy train? It's like they asked me what i wanted in the setlist!!! just hope its true
doctor toilet brush @ Jul 24th 2008 11:40AM
And it was all going so nicely....
Mike said it right - if this is genuine (and I'm hoping that it remains a rumour and nothing more), then they've strayed too far away from classic rock. And THREE Tool tracks? Come on.
You know what GH needs? BRITROCK. Oasis, Blur, Manic Street Preachers - hell, even Pulp would kick ass in World Tour.
Kyle @ Jul 24th 2008 11:42AM
I notice 10 songs on this list that i would enjoy playing. The rest makes me skeptical of even getting it, if this is the real list, so atm, i think ill opt out of getting it when it releases, and prob go with rock band 2 instead.
cranium @ Jul 24th 2008 11:41AM
that's is a very impressive playlist if it's real. assuming it is, I'll continue with a thought: is it just me or does it seem that while Guitar Hero: WT's setlist is full of songs you want to play, Rock Band 2's is full of decent songs by bands you want to play? it seems like they're trying to sell you the bands weaker songs now so they can charge you extra for the songs youd want from those bands as DLC down the road
Eddie @ Jul 24th 2008 11:45AM
Of course you don't live in Alabama!
You're way too literate.
Dustin Burg @ Jul 24th 2008 11:48AM
:O
Matthew @ Jul 24th 2008 11:47AM
There's some highlights to the list for sure, but Rock Band 2's seems more well-rounded.
I'll be getting both though.
dagguis @ Jul 24th 2008 11:57AM
"Roland" by Interpol
ZOMFG!
That shit made my day :D
Jesse @ Jul 24th 2008 12:07PM
i was just saying yesterday that rock band or guitar hero needs some CKY
LuckyEMS @ Jul 24th 2008 11:58AM

by neversoft?
DAXTER112 @ Jul 24th 2008 2:10PM
I am going to assume that it might mean they used the music maker.
Kizzle @ Jul 24th 2008 12:51PM
Would love this to be true (Tornado of Souls!!), but so much of it reeks of not likely. Angel of Death's lyrics MAY be a little much for a GH game, and it wouldn't censor very well.
MDJ2010 @ Jul 24th 2008 12:54PM
There's ups and down is that setlist, its got some great Heavy songs, like stuff by Korn, Slipknot and System of a Down (something RB badly needs, amazed there is no korn or slipknot dlc still). But then there isn't any great British music whioch seems like theyre missing a trick, although no doubt the European version will have additional tracks. Although if they do a Rock Band on us again then we can probably expect to see this game in Europe around the same time the next generation of consoles hits!
Mrblonde @ Jul 24th 2008 1:09PM
Screw Ted Nugent. Sounds like a pretty good setlist so far.
UNSCleric @ Jul 24th 2008 1:11PM
I was never going to buy this game, but this is the best setlist I have ever seen. If it's true, I'm buying at launch.
????? @ Jul 24th 2008 1:22PM
Guitar Battles are the lamest thing Guitar Hero has ever done. I might not get this game because of them.
Glimsom @ Jul 24th 2008 1:31PM
For those of you who keep mentioning the sample songs. I'm gonna go ahead and assume that it's for the Custom Song feature.
chuy_yei @ Jul 24th 2008 1:32PM
noooooooooooo!!
mana is the worst group EVER!!!
EVER!
=( im sad
W33Z3R @ Jul 25th 2008 2:55PM
Mana is awesome! They need 'No ha parado de llover'!
craig64 @ Jul 24th 2008 1:35PM
I probably wont be buying this (I want RB2), but having a song by The Doors almost makes it worth purchasing right there...
I can't believe they left the stupid guitar battles in the new game. :|
Kyle @ Jul 24th 2008 2:22PM
more dragonforce!!!!!!!!!!!
toolshuggah @ Jul 24th 2008 2:29PM
3 Tool songs in the "Undertow" tier, none of which are actually in that album. Seems to me like someone did too much work trying to make us all believe this is real. To that person, good job.
CHRISTIAN @ Jul 24th 2008 11:57PM
THE G. STINGER AND ERUPTION TOUR ARE DOWN RIGHT AMAZING
yokken @ Jul 24th 2008 2:32PM
I think I'll definitely be buying this. Way too many MODERN songs for me not to get it. I was sick of that classic rock BS.
James @ Jul 24th 2008 2:32PM
Eh, not much of that music really appeals to me...
Roland makes me jealous though, but at least RB2 will have PDA.
So far I'm really digging the RB2 set list more. It seems much more well rounded than this one.
As cool as having tool in there is, my girlfriend is NOOTTT gonna wanna play those songs haha
tan @ Jul 24th 2008 3:05PM
theres 84 others to choose from lol
James @ Jul 24th 2008 3:10PM
Yeah I see that, but, like I said, none of it is really music I want to play with my friends. Theres some great music in there, but it doesn't seem suited enough for a group experience. Well at least not suited to my friends' tastes.
Tann @ Jul 24th 2008 3:28PM
imo this list looks better than rb2's because i like way more of the songs on it, i just think that this time round neversoft are going to do things much better, and if this setlist is correct, then it looks like they are doing things much, much better.
