Rumored GH World Tour set list is fake

We hope you weren't excited by the supposed Guitar Hero World Tour set list that was 'leaked' yesterday. Activision and Red Octane have made it known that the list, which included artists like Tool and The Doors, is a fake. A representative informed Game Informer (see what we did there?) that while some of the songs on the list will make it into the game, namely Van Halen's "Hot for Teacher," the majority of the list is "wishful thinking and pure speculation."

But hey, we know it will have "Hot for Teacher," right? That counts for something. Now all we have to do is get Activision to confirm the rest of the set list ... one song at a time.

Thats a relief actually, I wasnt too keen on the list, except for most of the bonus songs and a few others.

Seriously, enough with the stupid "rumor" posts. If there's an update just update the original post. Do you guys get paid based on number of posts a day and you're running a little short today? Ever since E3 wrapped up it seems to have gotten a little thin on news here at X3F. I love the site but stop trying to fill a post quota or at list fill it with something other than this drivel.

So you base your decision to buy this game on a rumored, uncofirmed setlist, and when that RUMOR gets denied, you change your decision?

Would it not make much more sense to make your decision when the setlist is actually revealed (which will probably be within a few weeks time)?

Even though it was an amazing setlist...

As far as System of a down goes I would much rather have the song Attack and for the love of god please have Stranglehold.

I don't care what game it is or who's making it, nobody would put 3 Tool songs in the main game, as an ENTIRE 'tier'.

That alone should have told you it was fake.

Also, when you make up Guitar Boss Battles, don't make the third one be a bassist. Dead giveaway.
