Entire August XBLA lineup dated, Castle Crashers crashes the Arcade Aug 27th

Just a tiny while ago, Microsoft dropped an Xbox Live Arcade OMG MEGATON bomb by announcing the release dates for all upcoming XBLA games through the end of August, including The Behemoths' Castle Crashers. Just to get it out of the way, Castle Crashers will be available for purchase starting Wednesday, August 27th. It's still a month away, but we can still express our over-enthusiastic enthusiasm ... OMG MEGATON JOY! You can view the complete and golden delicious August XBLA release schedule below as well as screenshots after the break.

Also, be aware that Microsoft will be sponsoring a "Summer of Arcade" giveaway all August long and awarding hundreds of thousands of Microsoft points to gamers who try the new XBLA lineup. Castle Crashers. August 27th. Need we say more?

July 30th - Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2
August 6th - Braid
August 13th - Bionic Commando: Rearmed
August 20th - Galaga Legions
August 27th - Castle Crashers

That also gives me enough time to get my 360 fixed, it just broked on me. I don't get RROD, and it probably has to do with the video card cause it turns on fine, what should I do???

Keep turning it off and on. I got the one red light early this month and since my console is out of warranty, I was praying for the RRoD. I kept turning the console off and on and eventually it did die completely. So try that. Hell, I don't know what I did..

Regarding the XBLA lineup this month..MEGAT0N! Just about an hour ago I was writing game release dates (in PENCIL:) ) on my calendar and was wondering when Castle Crashers would be dated. Super cool!

or, instead of tinkering with it yourself you could accept the inevitable and send it in to microsoft before your warranty coverage expires.

even if you get it working once more the odds are stacked high in favor of it breaking again. would you rather wait until august starts to have it crap out or get it taken care of now??

Wrap it in a towel, let it overheat. You'll get the RROD soon enough. You can always swap one at a store. Every Target I've ever bought a 360 in doesn't keep tabs on the serial number.

You could just pay to have it fixed! Nah... who wants to do that?!

Just steal Athena's console.

Quality. 2-D platformers and shooters are the kinds of genres that XBLA was made to preserve. It's been a while since I've been tempted to download an arcade game.

I have Pub Games down for August 13. I can't recall where that information came from, but I think it's pretty solid.

An excellent line up and about time we get real release dates! My only disappointment is no Ninja vs. Pirates Dodgeball, that game looks like a ton of fun!!!

About time! I have been waiting for all of these forever! Hopefully MS is getting with it and letting go of the casual wiitarded market for XBLA all because of Nintendo's horrible E3 presentation and all of the outrage it brought. Hopefully this is the end of the crappy, casual games that hardly anyone is buying on XBLA. Now all is what is left is SSF2HDRM and Mega Man 9 and then my XBLA will be complete for a long time to come.
