MS promises to 'explore' not exploit the Halo brand
Even with three Halo games completed, two more in the works, memorabilia spanning the retail spectrum from board games to action figures, Microsoft promises not to exploit the Halo brand. Though, "exploring" the brand is fair game.Just don't over-whore out yourselves guys (we're looking at you too Bungie, we know you still have a microscopic amount of control over how the Halo franchise is handled). There's a fine line between giving fans what they want and becoming a total sell out. We trust in you though.

I'll never forgive them for what they did to Bungie at E3 2008. It was the biggest slap in the face they have ever done to any partner of Xbox, and it was to the developer who single-handedly carried the brand to popularity. Absolutely disgusting...I will not be happy until Don Mattrick leaves his job.

Well you could always start one of those new-fangled internet petitions. If nothing else it might get some press attention.
xvertigenx @ Jul 28th 2008 5:28PM
Wow. Get out much?
While shitty, they didn't screw bungie over or anything. They postponed a freaking announcement.
Duke @ Jul 28th 2008 5:55PM
Yet you will still buy the next Halo game right? So I doubt they care that you were bothered by events you know so little about.

RIIIIIIIGHT!!
Tony @ Jul 28th 2008 5:04PM

Too late! It's already too commercial!

Please please please give me a squad based shooter where I can play an entire game as a Grunt squad leader (and perhaps have a few Jackal snipers to work with as well).
Nothing beats that tasty food nipple!

You joke but that would be awesome. It would be like overlord but in space.

Halo MMOFPS? Since the universe is "really, really big now". When I think of big I usually think of MMOs for the main fact they are "really, really big".
Caleb 117 @ Jul 28th 2008 8:22PM
Yeah... because no other major dev/pub has ever released more than a couple of games in the same universe.... eh hm Mario...
Mrblonde @ Jul 29th 2008 3:47AM
Every mario game has been different. Mario 64 defined platforms. Sunshine took it up a level. Galaxy took it up a huge level. Not counting the spin offs not that they are all bad.

Just as long as Microsoft doesn't pull a nintendo then I'm just fine.
Snowman @ Jul 29th 2008 12:58AM
You mean you wouldn't love to see Halo DDR or Halo Hoops? How odd are you?
Boff @ Jul 29th 2008 9:36AM
I'm still waiting for Master Chief Pinball.
And Arbiter Golf.
:o(
EdgeOne @ Jul 29th 2008 12:13PM
Maybe they can make a Halo game as good as first since Bungie wasn't able to.
Neuromancer @ Jul 29th 2008 12:39PM
It's a little late to be talking about selling out now.
Novels + action figures + Clix game = already sold out a long time ago
