New COD4 playlists are worthy, still 'in testing'
Infinity Ward community head fourzerotwo has informed the masses that all four of the new Call of Duty 4 playlists tested the weekend before last have made the cut and will soon find their way into the game. The four new playlists on the way are:
The new playlists are currently "In Testing," so there is no ETA on exactly when the playlists will arrive, though fourtwozero promises to keep everyone up to date on their progress.

Still won't get me to put my disc back in the tray. The game is just too easy, and gets boring quickly.

I'm going to have to agree. I've sold my copy. Just got way to burnt out on this game. It's just not fun anymore. Co-op would have really made this game so much more.
And maybe its just me finding bad games, but I can never find a good group to play team based games with.

So you guys sucked?

I play COD4 every single day, and I rarely run into any players that are actually a challenge. I can win a cage match 99 times out of 100 and that one loss is usually 9 to 10 on their host... and they of course refuse to rematch me.
It might be "easy" for you to get into... but does that mean you were actually good? Probably.
COD4 is about outwitting the other players. 9 times out of 10 my kills are based on me tricking the other player... where in other games is just based on where you respawn (and if it happens to be right into a power weapon).

COD4 sucks

2 new hardcore maps?! That's awesome. And this game never left my tray. Guess I'm just not as amazing at COD online as Dragod. He must have a K/D ratio that's amazing.

New playlists, and an announcement of more new maps, would knock Halo 3 back down a notch.
I took CoD4 out of the tray after passing Prestige for the 3rd time. I felt like, Done this, Done that. But with new playlists w/o nade spamming and helicopters, I'll probably check it out.

It takes them forever to update playlist...but Halo3 gets new ones every week or so....nutts.
Harbir @ Jul 30th 2008 2:32PM
I like it hardcore *wink**wink*

and the winner for the most awesome cod4 player in the world goes to...Oh gosh this is exciting...DRAGOD!
For his superier skills in the arts of murder and mayham and for his ability to share with everyone just how amazing he is. Thank you Dragod, thank you for being a beacon of light in the dark dark sky and letting us know that we are all boring and provide no challenge to someone as great as you. Because honestly, we all were wondering if you were going to play again.
Zoinks OUT!

I said the game was easy. Aim in someone's general direction, and you get a kill. I never said I was the best player in the world, as you seem to have pulled from my comment.
I'm sorry that I'm challenged by Halo 3, but bored by CoD4.

Wow, I didn't think that shooting games' objective would be to shoot at someone to kill them... what a concept!
Just because your challenged with Halo 3 doesn't make it better. Maybe you're challenge because it runs at 25fps and makes you nauseous. Or perhaps you find it a challenge because the other team spawns by the rockets every time making it unfair.
I bought a pair of Ear Force X4 surround sound headphones so I can hear exactly where players are at. I find COD4 more of a cerebral challenge to win matches whereas I find Halo 3 based on a lot of luck and BS kills.

It's as if you never took Halo 3 seriously.
Now, COD4 is a game where they spoil you with everything, making it's players whine that they can't play games with lower fps, or control the map so that the their team gets the power weapons.
And claim that playing hide and seek with guns is the only form of strategy in games. By the way, I don't need pricey earphones to know where my target is. It's called call outs, team-communication. Heard of it?
Maybe not. The same way tactical setups and team-shooting are alien to the well spoiled players of COD4.
ZoinksYo @ Aug 1st 2008 10:07AM
Uhhh.. What?
Magic Whiskey @ Jul 30th 2008 4:01PM
COD4 is one of the best games I've played within the last say 6 years, and in the top running for best Xbox 360 game I'd say.
L4MB @ Jul 30th 2008 8:02PM
so true. i've been playing it over so many other great games, not just halo 3 but the whole orange box, GTAIV Mass Effect, Ninja Gaiden II, Forza 2...the list of games sitting on the shelf unfinished goes on as i quest for golden weapons and accuracy domination.
side note: i would love to see more maps.
joemoemino @ Jul 30th 2008 4:03PM
More hardcore stuff is always cool as well as the nonperks deal. Also multi bomb search and destroy sounds like fun.
Im just wondering if theyre going to add hardcore sabotage.
Rick @ Jul 30th 2008 5:01PM
I still play this several times a week. Multiplayer is just plain fun. Just wish we would get some new maps.
Brave @ Jul 30th 2008 5:31PM
Man dude, they need more Free For All Playlists. End Of Story.
Boff @ Jul 31st 2008 8:21AM
I shall embrace the new playlists but more maps please IW!
