Conquest added to Bad Company this week

Expected to go live this Thursday, August 7th is a new multiplayer game mode for Battlefield: Bad Company called Conquest. A game mode that was first seen and made popular back in Battlefield: 1942. In Conquest, players capture and control flags where, once a flag is captured, that team has the ability to spawn soldiers from. Oh, and the Conquest update will be free, so have no Microsoft point worries.

We'll see you on the Conquest battlefield, soldier.

Wait they did not have this in the first place? WTF? well i might rent it now but i was upset with the Beta so i passed it up the first time round.

i might actually stop neglecting BFBC now. and kudos to EA for making it free, however it should have been included from the gate.

Just got this game from Gamefly, I also played in the beta. I was originally turned off by the beta, but the retail version plays a lot better. I'm having a good time with the multiplayer, and the single player campaign is a lot of fun too.

The influx of noobs is killing goldrush right now. In a ranked game yesterday with at least 5 privates on my team. And it showed.

I was playing as Support Class, trying to gun down a bunch of enemy fighters while some douchebag on my team was jumping up and down in front of my gun. Surprisingly, he gets shot by my bullets and dies, then sends me a message telling me to fucking learn how to play as Support Class on a Ranked Match. Duh, dipshit, learn how to not jump in front of my gun when I'm firing and wait until I have a chance to give you a medkit.

I'll probably miss out on the new mode. I loved Battlefield's single player but the multiplayer just didn't have it for me. It felt like it was missing something. I don't think a new mode will change that.

I was about to eBay this today. Altogether I've gotten about 2 hours of MP out of this game before getting bored out of my skull. I'll give Conquest a go tonight and we'll see if I finish my eBay ad tomorrow.

I got this game from you guys and have definitely been enjoying the SP mode! I'm waiting to get internet at my new house before I can get back on Live. Will DSL work okay for live?

Are there any other alternatives that don't involve Comcast (or Fios, my neighborhood doesn't get that yet)?

Excellent. No reason to hate. Gold Rush was fine out of the box and this is a welcome addition.

Sweet I just got done playing this game a few minutes ago. This is great news because the game is lacking various online modes. Great to hear its free too. Kind of a big deal considering this game was supposed to have "pay for" guns when it was released. EA being cool for once.
