Soul Calibur IV ships 2 million
It looks like Yoda and Darth Vader are finally working together. You see, the two Jedi masters have managed to help push 2 million copies of Soul Calibur IV onto the gaming populace. The number accounts for both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 version of the game. We're curious to see which version sold more copies. No, not because we want the Xbox 360 version to succeed, but because we want some new nerd ammunition for the next time we get into the Darth Vader vs Yoda conversation.

Shouldn't the title read "Soul Caliber IV SHIPS 2 Million"??
dancingtosirens @ Aug 7th 2008 5:29PM
No, they have in fact sold 2 million, not just shipped.

@dancingtosirens,
you should check out the press release on namco's site... you and namco are not in agreement on this.

Sold? My understanding was that 2 million were shipped.
*goes to add SCIV to GameFlyQ*

The correct term is "nerdmunition"

Soul Calibur rocks
but... Vader isn't a Jedi Master. He was a Jedi Knight, but he turned to the Dark Side of the Force and became a Sith Master after many years. :D
Sentox6 @ Aug 7th 2008 10:07PM
To be a Sith Master, one has to have an apprentice, making Vader only a Sith Lord. However, given The Force Unleashed is going to be canon, I guess you are correct :P

The easy way to find out would be to check the online leaderboards and see who is in dead last. That number will at least represent all the online peeps transending history and the world.

The press release says SHIPPED not SOLD !
There were plenty of them everywhere in stores yesterday so I believe they where part of the 2M shipped.

Potato Po-tah-to. Sold to customers, sold to retailers. Namco still gets the money.
Fixed.

It's still misleading.
