Guitar Hero: World Tour to feature Ozzy and other OZZFest bands
Activision just scored a major win in the battle of music genre video game supremecy by securing music from Ozzy Osbourne and other OZZFest bands for inclusion in Guitar Hero: World Tour. There's a bunch of World Tour announcements, so let's just jump right in.Newly confirmed music to be included as part of World Tour's ever expanding setlist is Ozzy's "Crazy Train" and "Mr. Crowley" as well as OZZFest inspired music including Black Label Society's "Stillborn", Metallica's "Trapped Under Ice" and System of a Down's "B.Y.O.B." VaultICEE @ Aug 8th 2008 4:00PM
Okay, rephrase:
At this moment in time, Rock Band 2's songs are still better than the announced Guitar Hero songs.
Happy?
stinger503 @ Aug 8th 2008 4:29PM

I don't understand why these companies feel the need to put in songs with sections in them that do nothing but scream or shout bad words. Both RB and GH edit these words out its gay.
They say on RB was a complete waste of time as was Killing in the name of in GH2 how do anyof you think BYOB by System of a Down will fair in world tour?
Theres a whole minute and a half in that song where they simply ask "where the Fuck are you?" Seriously whats the point if your gonna take out the words right? How about putting in another song from SOAD that dosn't have any editable words in it like Attack! Or the Highway song? These choices make no sense. Stillborn though, niccccce.
There is also noway in hell RB2 has any chance against this game. It'll be like comparing the Medal Of Honor series to the Call of Duty series just no chance.

Killing in the name of was completely ruined by the censor haha.
Dark Caboose @ Aug 8th 2008 3:58PM
Yay thats me! Well you know you could still sing the words if its that big a problem. I have B.Y.O.B. for RB (the better game "for the time being" because im open for change and will not build my opinion until RB2 amd GH:WT are both out and i have experienced them fully) and i could care less if the words are censored out.
Tann @ Aug 8th 2008 1:26PM
ahh, the list's slowly becomming more complete=D!
can't wait!!
Big Bird @ Aug 8th 2008 1:41PM
On my way to ozzfest in dallas tommorow from tulsa, anyone else?
El Capitaine @ Aug 8th 2008 2:08PM
I was so glad when they announced support for RB2 peripherals. Now I can be happy about both, although i am still primarily for Rock Band, because of the better DLC prices, and the RB1 DLC and disk-song compatibility with RB2.
Because, a lot of the time I'll just grab my favorite song from a pack, not all three.
And GH has yet to do the amazing-ness of 80 MSP for a song.
Brave @ Aug 8th 2008 3:14PM
Where the Hell is Apocalyptica in this?
lulz.

Alright, Guitar Hero looks like its shaping to have some nice songs.
But I'm still wondering if I should get the core game after buying Rock Band 2.
From the demos shown, the people on stage still look pretty lifeless, the drum track looks weird, and there's only one Star Power bar. Even if the game includes some nice tracks, I think switching back to the Guitar Hero field would make me feel like there's less love being put in it.
But ehh, I don't know. Just going to have to wait until it comes out...

I saw a vid on the marketplace (or it could have been the 'Inside Xbox' thing) of the motion capture of Ozzy for GH:WT. Worth a watch.
