Realtime says Crackdown 2 is still a possibility

Chatting with videogaming247, Realtime Worlds' main man Colin Macdonald admitted that "it was a horrible, horrible decision" to not jump right into development of a sequel to their super human sandbox game Crackdown, also confirming that the possibility for sequel love is still there.

"I don't think the door's closed," said Macdonald, "obviously, right now we're tied up with APB and everything else, but hopefully in the future we'll have the resource and something can be worked out with Microsoft. We would have loved to have seen it. We poured five years of our lives into that game. You know, we've got guys on the development team that have Crackdown tattoos, permanent tattoos on their arms. We're extremely passionate about it."

Wow, permanent Crackdown tattoos, eh? Someone at Realtime or Microsoft needs to green-light a Crackdown sequel just to pay respect to the dev team's tattooing. You can't let someone tattoo Crackdown on their arm and not make a sequel ... that's just blasphemy!

I liked Crackdown and I'm kinda interested in seeing what they do with a sequel. Though APB seems a lot more appealing.

I wanna play both. I loved Crackdown, I still haven't found all those cursed orbs though I was 3 away on both. After you beat the game you should get a radio or something that makes a noise when one is close. Realtime...use more Celldweller in the sequel...there's another album coming out before then.

They should have started working on this sooner. I don't think they would need some type of offer, such as including a Beta, this time around.

And what's the deal with hoping for Microsoft's green light for a sequel? I thought they already had that. Wasn't the whole issue when this came up months ago that Microsoft asked for a sequel but it was too late Realtime Worlds was already busy with APB?

I'd assume that offer would still be there when Realtime Worlds gets done with APB. MS is definitely interested.

Even if this is a launch title for the next Xbox, I'll wait as long as I have to. We just need to get it at some point.

I'm plaything through Crackdown right now.
I'd like to see more varied boss battles.
Getting to them is actually more fun than killing them.
Well, I guess that is the point of the game.

Oh definitely! I want a sequel. One of the best games for the 360 yet totally ignored and highly underrated. MS needs to develop this IP. It is fantastic!

They need to can APB and work on Crackdown 2.

I loved that game so damn much. Easily one of the best games this generation. It's understandable that they might want to take a break and try something else, but damn man, we're fiending over here for more crack!
