Rock Band may never make it to Australia

Live in Australia? Like to rock out? Wish you had Rock Band? Well, sorry, because you may not get it this Fall, next year or (frankly) ever if Australian retailers have their way.

Word on the rumor street is that Australian retailers are not interested in stocking the ginormous Rock Band bundles, because of the shelf space it takes up and the fact that Rock Band is nearly a year old with a sequel releasing soon. Another reason: Guitar Hero: World Tour is newer and cheaper which some retailers may see as an equal replacement for Rock Band on their shelves. Taking this retail rumor one step further, it's entirely possible that (for the same reasons) Rock Band 2 won't reach Australian shores either. Sad too ... Australians don't know what they're missing and how fun it is to sing to Weezer tracks.
