MS brings Gears of War 2 and Halo Wars to PAX

Late last night, the Gamerscore Blog posted a list of games Microsoft plans on showcasing at the Penny Arcade Expo and if you're a PAX attendee who is huge Gears (slash) Halo fanboy, you should get excited.

According to Microsoft's PAX schedule of on stage demos, they plan on demoing both Gears of War 2 and Halo Wars as well as Project Origin during all three days of the expo. Meaning that those who plan on attending PAX and dreamt about getting a chance to see either Gears 2 or Halo Wars will have their dreams fulfilled. Wish granted! Also, according to the schedule, there will a few "Gears of War 2 Signing Sessions" planned which we can all but guarantee a certain blogger will be first in line ... every day.

Seriously, jrpg's, Gears 2, Halo, and Banzoo are 360's “heavy hitters”

Everything else is multi-platform and the few that aren't mp probably suck.

Get on the ball M-soft, do something new. I want a better variety. I don't care if they make a LBP ripoff, release more information on Alan Wake or something.

All the stuff ps3 is getting makes my 360 jealous. And screw those casual games they have for 360.

No down me, and call me ps3f all you want. I'm just stating my opinion on the 360.

And another thing, it wouldn't hurt if M-Soft got behind more games besides Halo, and Gears.

So besides Little Big Planet.. the playstation3 has a couple of FPSs, an open world antihero game (that seems familiar, no?) and racing game.

I know people like to paint the 360 as a shooter box but c'mon. Banjo, Viva pinata2, Fable 2, Infinite Undiscovery and Last Remnant are coming out in this calendar year. How is that not exciting for people with the white (well now black for me) boxes?

There's actually more heavy hitting titles coming out for the 360 this year than the PS3.. and that's not some biased opinion.. Top of my head of major PS3 titles this year are:

Then I could go on to name all the other XBLA titles excluding Castle Crashers, but I wont..

Now, I in no way hate the PS3, in fact, it's pretty cool, but when you say the 360 only has shooters, then you're just daft. The 360 offers more of every genre than any other console this gen.

I just wanna say this and it sounds fanboyish but fanboys need to know.

1st. Resistance and MotorStorm were the only game on PS3.

2. Then Uncharted and Heavenly Sword were the only good games on PS3.

3. Then MGS4 was the only game on PS3.

4. Now Resistance 2 and LittleBigPlanet are the only games to get a PS3 for.

5. In the future will Heavy Rain and God of War 3 be the only games worth a PS3 for?

Old meme is old, it was true with #1 but all I see is a increase of good games that fanboys consider only good games on PS3.

If they put that classic rendezvous poem in a Gears 2 promo hopefully Gary Jules' Mad World can be on another promo. It felt so right in the Gears 1 commercial.

People...both the ps3 and the 360 are hella crucial, granted I am more of a fan of the 360 this year due to the amount of amazing games coming out over the next few months, but next year it may be a different story. the true winners of this gen are those of us who own all the systems and are able to play all the good games. Those of you who say "oh this game sucks because its on the 360" and "I'll never play this game because its a ps3 only game" arent true gamers...learn to play games for what they are...not what system they come out on.
