10 more SK staffers 'knighted' for 10 years of service

In an exclusive studio tour of its St. Catharines, Canada, studio, Silicon Knights lead Denis Dyack revealed to X3F that ten staff members are poised to be honored for ten years of service during an upcoming Too Human launch party. The process of being 'knighted' at Silicon Knights continues a longstanding tradition that hearkens back to the formation of the studio, staffers who reach ten years of service are honored with a unique sword to be placed in their office.

Ten more members achieving this goal contradicts rumors swirling around GDC that claimed Silicon Knights staff members were leaving in droves due to development issues with Too Human.

Perhaps those who worked on Too Human.... Should just fall on that Sword..... If that's the quality of there 10 yr. baby....

I think this has been cleared up already, 10 years for 3 different machines, it kept getting redesigned for a different console which in turn meant starting over from scratch.

Just clearing that up.

Do you actually think that SK spent 10 years on Too Human? It's actually closer to 3 years of development time. The idea may have been around for 10 years but actually working on the game is only 3. Also, I can't understand all the hate towards this game. The game is actually a lot of fun and a nice change up from the regular shooters that we're fed.

It's funny that people actually think that this game has been in dev for 10 years. How long has the Xbox360 been in existence? Not 10 years, so it would be impossible for them to be developing this exact game 10 years ago. It's not like you can just copy and paste the code. :)

not really sure what the problem with the game is but i really liked it.i cannot wait for the second.got atleast 50 hours invested so far.maybe because i can actually have an opinion of my own rather then being told what to think.it has flaws but is fun overall.

Or maybe, not everyone likes the game like you do. Guess what? Everything will still be ok if people don't agree with you. If you like the game, have fun. Some of the rest of us will still poke a stick at you from time to time, though. Don't wet your panties.

Rick, it just seems like people are bashing the game for ridiculous reasons and not giving it a fair chance. The theme with people's perception of Too Human is that the game was in development for 10 years (which is wasn't) and therefore it should be the best game ever. The game has it's flaws but it does not deserve the low scores it's been receiving. I understand that not everyone will like this game but at least give it a chance instead of writing off because of a demo or listening to people didn't even play it.

or maybe none of you actually played the game.i know for a fact that a well known website posted a review of this game and never played it.i know because i know the author.he did not want to be bothered reviewing something that will never get a fair chance so he gave it a 6.9 and called it a day.so poke me all you want just not in the ribs....i am tickleish.

I agree 100% with you. This game has its issues but it seems that it is getting such harsh reviews for the actual product presented. It's almost like people expected perfection from it's "10 Year development cycle" but there were several resets during that time that they basically had to start over. Add to that the problems with Epic (Which I know nothing about but I am sure was a distraction at least) and you have long dev times. I think some people got too wrapped up in the "Dennis Drama" and just refused to like this game because they don't like him.

It comes at a great time of the year for me as I have been in a little drought of games I want to play. This will definitely give me some good fun until Fable 2 comes out and satisfies my Diablo type loot addiction quite well.

Well Guys, of course I know they haven't been building code & what not for the past 10 yrs., but lets not constantly stand up for what gets churned out..Yeah..yeah, it's a matter of taste..Hell we all enjoy sub par crap at times.. But as a gamer for about 28yrs.now, it's pretty easy to read the trends & see what's what...If anything this game would have been a Marvel when conceived, but to many games have come & gone since they thought of this project..So much in todays light seems unimpressive in game play & structure.. So to whoever fanboys this is an informed thought...Perhaps not the best one, but none the less valid...Peace
