Dead Space, the space survivor horror game we've been gushing about these past few months, was originally scheduled to release to retailers on
Halloween. What perfect marketing, right? Well, last month we learned that its release was mysteriously
bumped up a week earlier to October 24th. Now, we've just been notified by EA that
Dead Space's release has moved up on the release schedule yet again, this time to Tuesday, October 14th. What's the reason? EA doesn't have an official explanation other than the fact that the they say the game's development is ahead of schedule. But we have a hunch that they want to distance
Dead Space from November's other huge
360 blockbusters. Makes sense, right?

As long as it works and is fun when I play it, they can release it as early as they like.

Maybe they are trying to die and be crushed by Fable and Fallout rather than Gears... Who knows.

That's good, more time between Dead Space and Gears. Too many awesome games coming out.

I am interested in this game but honestly the last year I've gone back and forth on it saying I'll get it for sure to I'll pass it by.
I am leaning more torwards a rental at this point. Is there a multiplayer to this at all?
It's kinda like saying only rent the force unleashed because it has no multiplayer right?
I'd consider getting the Force Unleashed before getting this game.

Seems like everyone is staying away from the gears 2 release....left 4 dead and dead space......probobly the smartest thing they could have done...now i'm actually contemplateing buying both of those games....

It's nice to see a release date pushing forward rather than back for once.
Rock Band 2, Fable 2, Fallout 3, Dead Space, Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty 5, Gears of War 2, Far Cry 2....
I'm so glad I get good money.
