Okay, we're just going to let out a heartfelt woohoo here, because Snowblind Studios has confirmed that they are indeed bringing Death Tank to Xbox Live Arcade. We imagine anyone that has played the Sega Saturn classic will share our enthusiasm. Played like a real time version of Scorched Earth or Worms, Death Tank is a fast-paced game of strategy and quick thinking. Tiny, but powerful tanks attempt to destroy each other -- on a fully destructible landscape -- using a variety of weapons and abilities. Oh, and it's awesome too.
The Xbox Live Arcade version features updated graphics and support for up to 8 players on Xbox Live or 4 players locally. Check out the first trailer of the game in action above and a the first screens in the gallery below.
Tapping into the Sega Saturn's games is nice as well. Hopefully this is just the Tip of the iceberg.
Baku Baku, Skeleton Warriors, Dragon Force, Guardian Heroes, Marvel VS Street Fighter, Vampire Savior and all the Panzer Dragoon Games on the Saturn to name a few.

Thanks for pointing out its REAL TIME. Anyone who hasn't played DT before You don't know!
I like the graphical update, maybe would have preferred a more retro feel and deformable terrain, but hell I'm exited.

It's deformable. Look at the last nuclear blast in the video.
I guess it's just not as obvious.

Yay for scorched earth in HD!

Scorched Earth is turned based and I personally would have preferred it over this. That is my opinion without having ever played Death Tank though.

Awesomeness! Same fun gameplay, great new graphics. How could you not like this game?

For 400 points - yay!

I would love Powerslave. The Saturn version was the best and way better than the PC version (which is significantly different).
I hope some developer out there agrees with me.

This game actually looks pretty good. I'll be checking it out!
