A rogues gallery of Fable II heroes

Lionhead has released a new batch of screenshots from the upcoming Fable II. The six screenshots serve to highlight the variety of possible heroes available to gamers in Peter Molyneux's latest opus. All told we have an evil Slash wannabe, a pirate, a gun-toting gentleman wearing a Mardi Gras mask, a pale, white-haired vixen, a sideburns-sporting, purple-coated hero and ... a man in a dress. Yes, there's quite a bit of variety possible thanks to the many clothing and style options, not to mention the many moral and social choices that alter a characters appearance. And now, thanks to Fable II's Live co-op, you can actually show off your unique hero to your friends.

It's 2008 people! The world needs its first transgendered video game heroes... besides all the creepy Japanese Is That A Dude or A Butch Chick a Longer Slender Pink Trench coat? characters from JRPGs.

Seriously, looking back at it, I enjoyed Fable much more then I gave it credit for at the time and am really looking forward to Fable II. It adds the right amount of humor to make it fun on top of being a pretty good action rpg that I think is missing form a lot of games.

What about Poison from Final Fight and Bridget from Guilty Gear? There have been transgender characters in games at least since 1989 ;)

This is going to be just amazing. We have waited so long and now that it is almost here I can't believe it. I love the screen shots, they are just great. I have beaten Fable the lost chapters so many times now that I need a new challenge and these new characters are the answer. I achieved all the pub stuff also now. Bring on the real thing. October can't get here fast enough. Thanks LionHead.

I never got to finish Fable 1 so i never thought about doing all this so im really glad i pre ordered Fable 2

looking forward to fable2 despite the totally lame pub games.. cant wait to create another female character (really sick of watching some guy's butt for hours) and see how she turns out..

theres a good chance she's' gonna start the game dead broke (i refuse to cheat to make money in the pub games) but she will look good.. ill grind out a few bucks if i need to buy that fancy hairdo or outfit i need..
