Weekly Deals: Gears PC $15 and free tees galore

We're trying something different this week with our analysis of the week's best gaming deals. We're going to present them in one, long, run-on sentence that may or may not be readable. So, here we go ...

There's a free t-shirt with a Force Unleashed purchase at Best Buy and over at Circuit City they have a free t-shirt and $5 gift card with Force Unleashed, free t-shirt with Rock Band 2, 10% off all Rock Band accessories, Gears PC for $15, $5 off a 12-month Xbox Live subscription, and $10 off a wireless adapter which, again, are ALL deals at Circuit City with absolutely nothing going on at Target this week. PHEW! Deep breath and now it's time to pass out on the kitchen floor.

"absolutely nothing going on at Target this week." You got that right, my Target didnt even have RockBand2 so I had to go to Kmart of all places since Gamestop was still closed.

I had to do that for a game once. It was a horrible experience. I walk in to get Metroid Prime 2, but, it wasn't on the wall. So, I go and ask if they have it in stock, I get told yes, and wait 20 minutes for them to get it from the back. This was a week after it came out. Never again will I shop there.

Kmart does blow. Recently I was looking around for a zune to buy for my girlfriend's birthday. I called like 5 places, which were sold out, and then called Kmart. They had them, except they were also charging 30 bucks more than anyone else. Do they seriously wonder why they're going out of business?

Except that Gears PC was a limited release that didn't sell well and most stores don't have it anymore (which is why Epic actually went on record and said NO gears 2 pc.)

They also have Fallout 3 w/ a $10 card and Gears 2 w/ a $10 card.

Great stuff at Circuit City they really have better deals than Gamestop.

Toys-R-US has force unleashed with a $20 gift card. I am going to buy it then turn around and get Rock Band 2 for $45 bucks

If your store of choice is Best Buy, they may still have the pre-order free T-Shirts for Rock Band 2. Get the preorder, then immediately buy the game. I think until the full RB kit is available, you'll be able to buy the T-Shirt for $5.

since the zune has sort of wi-fi & lets your pc link with your xbox for music/videos; why isn't there a hack/program to let you use your zune as a wireless modem.?? p.s. my new zune's direction pad is working like a trick clutch of a car since it was dropped...

I'm torn between getting an new 120gb ipod or a 120gb zune, can anyone tell me how the software is because itunes sucks and it's slow but i like the simplicity of the ipod.

I have had the new 80gig Zune since Christmas and love it. I got it for the same reason (I don't care for itunes)....I like it, the software is very very easy to use, I've had not one problem with it (the software or device), you have to update the device every few months, but only takes a minute and is also easy. When you compare the price i paid for it ($250) it was the same price for the 80gig, ipod but other than me not liking itunes, the zune did more (radio, wireless syncing, etc.) and the viewing screen is bigger.......oh, i forgot the back is unscratchable too.
