Behold the Zero Punctuation Too Human review
Just when we all thought that the lumbering storm cloud that washed Too Human's existence with unrestrained negativity (or "mixed" positivity, depending on how you look at it), we remembered something: Zero Punctuation. As a man who loves to hate, we imagine there was no way Yahtzee would pass up a game like Too Human. It is, in his opinion, universally bad and apparently has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. To anyone who enjoys the game (frankly, we've been a bit addicted), you have been warned. Everyone else, find the review after the break.

The 10th of September called, it wants its news back. ;)
Richard Mitchell @ Sep 15th 2008 4:46PM
The Great Hall of Old Jokes wants that line back.
Knuckles Dawson @ Sep 15th 2008 4:57PM
@RichMitch
I have a library card at the Hall, I have it out until Wednesday, when, y'know, the next ZP comes out.
B @ Sep 15th 2008 4:11PM
Isn't this review a week old?
ZipCrash @ Sep 15th 2008 4:13PM
I always keep up to date with Yahtzee's reviews. They are endlessly entertaining. This is the first time I've actually disagreed with him. While ALL of his points are valid and hold truth I still rather enjoyed myself quite abit (minus the last level). In any case it an entertaining review and good for some laughs so I encourage everybody to watch it even if in the end you'll disagree with him.
Mal F4cti0n @ Sep 15th 2008 9:45PM
I only played the demo, but I agreed with everything he said. I will rent it and give it a play through because I thought the story had some potential. After playing the demo twice, I got the hang of combat and started having fun kicking robot (?) ass, but I totally can see where he was coming from.
Regardless, the review was HIGH-LARRY-US, was it not?
dylan @ Sep 15th 2008 4:13PM
But tell us how you REALLY feel! Awesome review as always.
anon @ Sep 15th 2008 4:16PM
2005 called for you two, they want their comment back...
anon @ Sep 15th 2008 4:17PM
Dang, too slow. That was for Knuckles and B
Knuckles Dawson @ Sep 15th 2008 4:18PM
It was a classic, just like the video was.
francisco @ Sep 15th 2008 4:50PM
this game sucks :(
Mr. Nosuch @ Sep 15th 2008 4:50PM
Glad to see the Xbox 360 Fanboy folks are on top of things as usual. Here's a tip for future reference: Yahtzee updates every Wednesday. Maybe go look then.
Mike @ Sep 15th 2008 5:07PM
I loved the game, a review is just one person's opinion, and that's fine. That doesn't make me wrong and him right or vice-versa. As far as the "blah called and they want their..." comment...that comment is from the 70's and NO ONE want's the 70's back. Mr Nosuch, I'm gald to see that you are trying to help us poor little 360 fanboy's...but being as we actually have games to play...we aren't as intent on keeping up with reviews as you may be.
ccc @ Sep 15th 2008 5:27PM
Heh, this game is total garbage and Yahtzee didn't even bothering to mention how long the game was in development for.
It's gonna end up like shenmue, planned sequals but ideas cut due to lack of sales and interest.
AoE @ Sep 15th 2008 5:51PM
Except Shenmue was full of boring with moments of genius... whereas Too Human is full of fail with moments of epic fail.
Rob A @ Sep 15th 2008 8:34PM
Well, I liked Shenmue (the first one, the second was, well, dirt)
AoE @ Sep 15th 2008 8:58PM
Oh, I like both Shenmue games, but that doesn't change the fact that the bulk of both titles was filled with boring day-to-day activities. ;)
ccc @ Sep 16th 2008 11:06AM
I liked Shenmue too but yea it got boring actually having to hold a job in the game, but it taught me how to operate a fork lift heh.
Fire Fawkes @ Sep 15th 2008 8:50PM
Very rarely have I disagreed with any ZP review, sometimes he's overly harsh but he usually sums up the core experience quite well. This is no exception either. Everything that he complains about, I've taken issue with in Too Human, he just does so in a way that has you laughing your ass off the whole time as well.
wickedpheonix @ Sep 16th 2008 1:24AM
hehe, best one in a while :D
Boff @ Sep 16th 2008 7:23AM
I'll be the first to admit I'm seriously enjoying this game. Can't get enough of it.
Knight Marquise @ Sep 16th 2008 11:50AM
Me too, Boff.
I've almost a 100 hours on my main character (Human Champion) alone (been through the game 8 times now)
Took a Cybernetic Commando through the game as well.
Currently hunting for Level 50 Epic Armor, still need 4 pieces.
Mazrael @ Sep 16th 2008 9:31AM
It hadn't been in development for 10 years if thats what you mean.. it would of been on the cards since PS1 days, I remember it back then, but SK would have been working on other games, than when Too Human's turn came around there was a console change - so then you have to choose whether to make something new or continue to make it for an old console.
You could say that Mii's have been in development since the NES days, but they weren't, they were an idea, they played with it & it wasn't the right time for it, til the Wii.. & even now they're lacking.. I found myself settling for parts to be me rather than being happy with it..
Too Human is a good game, it's best on the 2nd playthrough.. & you don't die all that much, I died 6 times on my first run, another 20 on my 2nd.. then playing it online on the 2nd map another 20+ times.. it get's harder as you level up (especially in co-op..)
I wouldn't mind a patch for some extra points to use though
