Ten colorful notes unlock all Rock Band 2 tracks
After making your Rock Band 2 purchase, you may be wondering exactly how you can experience the entire rockin' setlist without having to actually do all the "work". Because, as you're well aware, having to play the game through completion in order to unlock all songs is so 2007.Thankfully, Harmonix included a "game modifier" option where, with a few presses of the colorful guitar buttons, players can alter the game including a modifier that unlocks the entire setlist. Simply make your way to the RB2 game modifier screen and enter the sequence - Red, Yellow, Blue, Red, Red, Blue, Blue, Red, Yellow, Blue. Tada! Instant setlist unlock! You rebel.

i wanna do this, but something inside me tells me not to. i wonder if this'd screw up any achievements or other things. hmm, im gonna need some confirmation before hand.

When you turn on this modifier, the game notifies you that saving, gaining achievements and playing over Live is disabled as long as this modifier is on.
Once you turn the modifier off, things are back to normal, achievements and all.

that is the same cheat from guitar hero 1. Silly Harmonix

Rock band 1 had this code, entered at the start menu.
It more or less disabled everything except for offline quickplay/offline 1v1 games, but unlocked all songs.
Because saving was disabled, restarting the game would restore everything to normal. Great for parties if you hadn't unlocked all songs.

If you want to do it without a code, just do all of the decade challenges. After you finish the four songs in a decade challenge, all of the other songs from that decade unlock. After you play those 18 songs, all 84 will be unlocked.

Good idea for parties and stuff, saves you having to go through and unlock before you can just mess around.
Christopher Ware @ Sep 15th 2008 5:26PM
well, how do you play them once you enter the code? quickplay doesn't change...
Tony Bowman @ Sep 15th 2008 5:43PM
you have to scroll down after you've entered the code, and actually enable it. it isn't automatic after just entering the colors.
c ware @ Sep 15th 2008 5:48PM
it says all songs enabled...saves....then what? where do you go? tour did change and quickplay still has those same 18-20 or so songs.
joeybeast @ Sep 15th 2008 5:22PM
Can't they just have a party mode where every song is available?

i know this isn't related, but has anyone been able to find the new wireless guitar for sale? no one has it. some places are saying it doesnt come out until october, even though i've argued with them that it's only the bundle.

Amazon.com says that the new guitars ship tomorrow (16 Sept), and my local Best Buy and GameStop both told me "sometime this week."

@ cware - Right after entering the code, scroll down. you'll see a checkbox where you have to enable it.
