Portal XBLA achievements offer more original content than actual game

When it was announced at E3 2008 the potential of Portal: Still Alive for the Xbox Live Arcade excited fans of the popular holiday '07 first-person-puzzler. While the title is still anticipated for its bonus content, which is available for free now at BigDownload, many were disappointed that the title simply offers the same experience in downloadable form. As a testament to the popularity of the game and not the shortcomings of the Arcade release, players simply wanted more. Luckily original ideas have found a way into the XBLA release of Portal. Unfortunately they come in the form of new achievements for the game.
Of the twelve achievements uncovered by MyGamerCard nine are original challenges for console gamers to play with when the game hits the service later this year. Well, at least we get something new! Hey, we don't mean to be hard on the game but its like when our parents scold us. They aren't mad, they're just disappointed. Yet, we still can't wait for the game ... sort that one out!
[Thanks, Morgon]

Really, who's buying this if they already have the orange box? I was under the impression that it was for people who didn't have it but still wanted to play portal. In which case, it's no big deal that there is nothing new.

Nice screenshot. I like!
Think there may be a typo in the first achievement description...
I presume the Rat Man dens are those little areas 'outside' of the testing chambers with the ramblings on the wall and photos etc. But not seen/heard the chicken or any test relating to it?
Anyone?

It may be a typo on their end but that is how it is listed on MGC.

Any more than 400 pts for it I'll pass and I played Orange Box and quite a bit of Portal already.

What's the guess on how much this one will cost? I'm predicting 1600 points.

I've seen it at 26 bucks used at GameStop. Too bad I bought the game new in November for 60. D;

It's not for people who don't already have portal in some form and the flash maps are just a little bonus for those people.

I love that screenshot. Odd request, but where could I find a larger version of it? It'd make a perfect desktop wallpaper.
