Banjo-Kazooie headed to the XBLA Nov 26th, Banjo-Tooie in 2009
Earlier this morning, Microsoft officially confirmed that the N64 remade Banjo-Kazooie will release to the Xbox Live Arcade on Wednesday, November 26th for 1200 Microsoft points. But remember, those who pre-order Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts can download the XBLA version earlier and for free. If you're willing to plop down Nuts & Bolts pre-order cash, you'll receive a redemption code to download Banjo-Kazooie XBLA two weeks prior to its official XBLA release, which would be on or around November 12th. Also, tucked in towards the end of today's Banjo press release, is news that Banjo-Tooie will be releasing to the Arcade sometime in early 2009. Huzzah!

1200? I was figuring on 800.
Evan @ Sep 24th 2008 4:00PM
That's the best news I've ever heard.
Josh @ Sep 24th 2008 4:01PM
YES! TOOIE CONFIRMED!!

Refresh my memory.. when is nuts and bolts coming out again?
squallgengar @ Sep 24th 2008 4:47PM
SO happy that Tooie is finally confirmed. That game remains my favorite collect-a-thon of all time.
Jonman @ Sep 24th 2008 4:44PM
Preordered!
I have to admit, the prospect of a free N64 Banjo is what really swung it for me.
*straightens rose-tinted nostalgia-goggles*

Even though I have next to no interest in the brand new Banjo game, I may have to preorder it just for the free arcade game! I finished it around 5 times on N64... but I don't own it anymore!
joeybeast @ Sep 24th 2008 5:19PM
Never played the game but it looks really good.
Nuts and bolts looks really good as well.
Damn my principle of never pre-ordering any game.
Neuromancer @ Sep 24th 2008 6:52PM
The original was the best next thing to a Mario game. I'm almost more excited about playing the first one than I am playing the new one.
Eddie @ Sep 24th 2008 5:57PM
Speaking of the preorder goodness, anybody have experience or just flat out know whether Game Crazy (Hollywood Video) gets these preorder bonuses?
After dropping my five bones, the kid behind the counter says "uh, yeah, whatever you get with the game you get when it comes out" leaving me with a less-than-secure feeling about my free Kazooie.
Help?
flameofdoom666 @ Sep 24th 2008 8:36PM
I am not sure, but I was wondering the same question (but about GameStop)!
How can one be sure to get the promotional code?!
HELP! lol
Diva @ Sep 24th 2008 6:47PM
@joey
You've never played the original BK and Tooie...?
You're in for a treat come November.. ;p
joeybeast @ Sep 25th 2008 12:14AM
I've never owned a N64.
I should play some games on the virtual console
Fire Fawkes @ Sep 24th 2008 8:00PM
Good news mixed with bad news really. I get to play Banjo again BUT it comes at a horrid time. Fable 2, Fallout 3, Gears 2, Nuts and Bolts...holy crap too much to play. Still, free is free. I had this one preordered a long time ago.
Ron @ Sep 24th 2008 10:51PM
This is cool, I've never had the chance to play these games, and I'm looking forward to Nuts and Bolts. This will give me the chance to learn the story of these games.
Dragonkal8000 @ Sep 24th 2008 11:11PM
It is amazing to see the transition of Rare's games from Nintendo to Microsoft, obviously because of the buyout which was a while back but it is really nostalgic in a way to see the old games that were designed for the N64. Lol, I would have exected this to be released through the Wii shop channel but...oh well...the circumstances are such.
matthew cobb @ Sep 25th 2008 8:48AM
that is great news. i liked both of those game. i just hope it does not get goldeneyed.
Matt @ Oct 9th 2008 6:12PM
lol I wonder if Rare finally added "Stop-N-Swop"... haha those of you who are Banjo veterans will know what I'm talking about.
