Halo 3 EXP and TruSkill issues detected, under investigation

Early this morning when Xbox Live was reactivated from its 26 (or so) hour slumber, Halo 3 users in Matchmaking discovered a problem. Users were angered to find that their Halo 3 TrueSkill and EXP were not being rewarded properly after each match -- that is to say it didn't work at all. According to Bungie and the Xbox.com support page, the problem is being investigated and hopes to be solved as soon as possible. Bungie noted that the issue may appear, at first, to be an EXP ban but users will be able to tell the difference when a very specific warning message is displayed. X3F will update you as soon as it learns more.

I went on Halo 3 for the first time today since the update and thought it was a bit weird I didn't get exp or a rank for coming in the top half of the scoreboard in a lone wolf match.
Great first impression of the new system for me :)

I won a lone wolf match and didn't get any EXP or skill change, but I did get promoted from nothing to recuit. I thought that was odd.

What is wrong with Microsoft everytime they do maintenance they screw something up. Jesus, learn to do your job Microsoft. Its ridiculous

When they restore it back to normal, the games we played, and EXP/Ranks we should have gained, will they automatically go up. example: I play 2 lone wolve games, come in first, dont get a rank/EXP, but when they fix it will it automatically rank me up and add +2 EXP? Or will it not do anything?

I just think it's a lack of decent testing, I mean, before you release an update, constantly test it for various bugs that no one would even think about.

But all in all, I appreciate the service, and I can't wait for my exp to get back up, because just yesterday I found out about the new system, and I can't wait to level ;]
