Viva the Trouble in Paradise and NBA 2K9 demos

There are metric ton of titles coming out in the next few months but there have been titles released recently that warrant your attention too. Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise may seem like a revamped version of the original but with so many additions it's hard to call it Viva Pinata 1.5. Still on the fence? Check out the demo, now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Sports fan? Also available on the Xbox Live Marketplace is a demo for the upcoming 2K Sports pro basketball entry, NBA 2K9. Play one 4-minute quarter as the Lakers or the Celtics in a demo that relives the first part of Game 6 from the 2008 playoffs. Not sure who to pick? The answer is the Celtics, it's always the Celtics.

FINALLY - the 2k9 demo! It plays a bit different from last year, but remember people it's always hard to get used to the new versions of sports games when you are used to the old ones. Also, basketball demos suck quite a bit because of the limited game time and options they give you. This 2k9 demo is without announcers, stats, substitutions, play calling, etc. - so expect the full version to feel much better than this.

2k9, Ftw! I just tried both NBA live 09 and 2k9, and I have to say I like 2k9 better. It feels right, I noticed the crowd is closer to the court giving it a more "personal" feel, not in the distance like live 09. Me like dat. It was smooth too, compared to live 09 where you had to stop running before you can try to deflect or block a shot. Lame!
