MS reveals their Tokyo Game Show lineup

Heading into the weekend festivities that is this year's Tokyo Game Show, Microsoft just officially revealed their lineup of games that will be available to play, see and experience at their TGS booth. The list (posted after the break) includes the standard assortment of MGS games including Nuts & Bolts and Fable 2, (but no Gears 2, sad face) as well as Japanese favorites Star Ocean: The Last Hope (first time playable) and The Last Remnant.
In total, Microsoft has 23 games listed, but conveniently left out any mention of a Bungie title. We're sure the secret Bungie title/DLC will not be on the show floor, which is why it isn't on the list, but some acknowledgment of its TGS appearance would be nice. You can't fool us Microsoft, we know you have some secret Halo TGS plans ... oh, we know.

I wish I could try fable 2, Fallout 3, and Saints Row 2 before they were released. Oh well.
Duke @ Oct 7th 2008 12:19PM
Rent them then. I feel pretty secure in the quality of those titles, especially compared to other games that have been coming out lately and been disappointing.
DBoyFlex @ Oct 7th 2008 12:21PM
Ah, I do too. I just want to play them sooner. I do not doubt if they will be good or not.
jordan @ Oct 7th 2008 11:50AM
First
Bungie said they would be there!!!!!!!!
Cole Mullenbach @ Oct 7th 2008 11:52AM
yea im pretty sure the last bungie update said that they had 2 people over in Tokyo!
Morgon @ Oct 7th 2008 11:51AM
I must say I'm a little surprised Lips isn't on the list.
Karaoke seems to be a big part of Japanese social culture, I'd think they'd want to push it aggressively to that market.
joeybeast @ Oct 7th 2008 12:19PM
They already have a dedicated Karaoke machine in their living room.
TORO @ Oct 7th 2008 11:55AM
The Japanese have different taste
Paul @ Oct 7th 2008 12:15PM
Yeah they HATE shooters why is far cry there... oh no its gonna have exlusive DLC
Bluemanrule @ Oct 7th 2008 11:57AM
I can't wait to see more information & media regarding Star Ocean IV: The Last Hope. It's going to stretch the limits of the 360, require multiple disks, and I will download that onto my Harddrive.
Bayonetta, The Last Remnant, and Bionic Commando also spark my interests. This Holiday has enough gaming greatness (including LR). I want Microsoft to finally talk about its 2009 Exclusives.

A Microsoft rep reportedly told Edge online Bungie was going to make a "major" announcement regarding their recently teased project at the convention.
Since then, we've learned atleast 2 Bungie employees are headed off to Toyko.
We'll have to see what happens.
diamondxp @ Oct 7th 2008 12:11PM
As usual no mention of Splinter Cell: Conviction or Alan Wake.
john paul @ Oct 7th 2008 2:43PM
Think you'll see them in the press conference (Alan wake more likely) but they're not gonna be playable.
Dirty @ Oct 7th 2008 12:23PM
Gears wont even be showing up there. Funny how the top game here isnt even showing up there.
jerry @ Oct 7th 2008 12:29PM
Bungie secret is starting to look like they are bringing back Marathon. there are too many things alike between marathon and Halo.
Shin @ Oct 7th 2008 12:30PM
Wow, if this is all MS has to show then it's prolly their worst lineup ever. Only Star Ocean, Banjo Kazooie and Fable II are exclusives, rest of them are multiplatformers.
Why? Sony has 90% of the list + 14 unannounced exclusives. (11 for PS3)
No idea about Nintendo yet.
john paul @ Oct 7th 2008 3:41PM
Thats the games they announced. They're probably holding in to the big guns... Splinter Cell V, alan wake, halo. Atleast that's what I think, could be wrong.
nieker @ Oct 7th 2008 12:47PM
Holy crap, that has to be by far one of the best lineups ever
gg microsoft :)
Dirty Whirlwind @ Oct 7th 2008 12:53PM
Kinda weird they left out Gears 2, as far as I know the first one sold pretty decent over there (for a Xbox game in Japanland, that is).
And Lips, where the hell is Lips? It wasn't even on display in Leipzig, was it? Although they said it was going to.
brian @ Oct 7th 2008 1:48PM
MSFT has the keynote speech.
And they've already said it regards Bungie./story
Wedzi @ Oct 7th 2008 3:06PM
I wonder since Microsoft has the keynote speech they will have a big reveal of Alan Wake and the new Bungie game at the keynote. From what Im hearing, Sony will have a big show at E3 with a lot of exclusive games to show to try and gain back momentum in Japan. (can't believe they lost it in the first place, to the 360 that is) Microsoft has the lead in Japn for now, all they have to do is have a kick-ass show!
saito ps3 @ Oct 7th 2008 3:39PM
xbox 360 hasnt even sold 1 million in japan yet, ps3 has sold well over 2 mill in japan, so sony is looking to build on that lead, please get informed. im hoping to see more info on halo:keep it clean
john paul @ Oct 7th 2008 3:43PM
I think it's a little too early to talk about e3, we don't even know if there will be one next year ;)
note: I know he means TGS
Wedzi @ Oct 7th 2008 4:38PM
You're the one not informed, saito ps3. (should of expected a comment like this to come from someone with PS3 in their name) Have you read any recent news on 360 sales in Japan? The 360 has out sold the PS3 in the month of September thanks to Tales of Vesperia and Infinite Undisovery. Yes, I know PS3 has sold way more 360s in Japan but this is a pretty significant success for Microsoft considering how well the original xbox did in Japan and yes I know its TGS. With some many gaming events this sure won't be the last time I'll screw up on the names.
