Reminder: Microsoft's TGS press conference happens tonight [update 2]

We already know what's going to be on the show floor and have a pretty good idea that Bungie will be involved, but we are totally in the dark to what other exciting news Microsoft will be announcing during their Tokyo Game Show 2008 press conference.

The Microsoft conference kicks off TONIGHT at 11:00PM eastern (8:00PM pacific), when team Microsoft storms the TGS stage and hopefully makes a few hugely major announcements. Remember too that you can read conference play by play by visiting Joystiq, because they'll be in attendance and will be live-blogging all the juicy bits. Here at Fanboy Towers, we'll be staying up extra late just in case OMG megaton news drops. We're excited and you should be too.

My hopes, and I dont think I'm asking for much:

Halo 3: Legendary maps now free, new campaign expansion release date revealed

GTA IV: Price, date, and details on the DLC

NXE: Date of release

I'd like to see that stuff too, but I don't think TGS is the right place for Halo (read FPS) or GTA news. I hope they announce the Blu-ray drive, I think Japan would be a good place to unveil that.

Are the GTA games popular in Japan? This seems like it would be the right time to make a GTA IV DLC annoucment/showing -- but not if the games don't appeal to the Japanese.

Personally, I'm hoping that new Mass Effect DLC is in the works (perhaps for the game's one year anniversary) and that we learn something about it tonight. Not holding my breath though, esp. if the game hasn't been a hit in Japan.

Should be some interesting announcements, but the lineup for the next month or 2 is more than enough for me. Also, what happened to Xav??

ok let me say that a different way, if they don't announce that it is going to be a 6 map pack for Halo and how the skulls will work then I will break something.

I'm going to be SUPER optimistic right now.

NXE goes online during the conference. Big Bringing it Home surprise.

I really want them to beat Home out of the gate, and since hackers are already running it on their boxes, we all know its ready.

Are you guys seriously expecting any news regarding Halo or GTA IV? FYI, Halo and GTA IV are not blockbuster franchises in the East like they are in the West. These are not the titles that move the 360 in Japan. Asking about the GTA IV DLC at TGS would be like going to a Ford dealership and inquiring about parts for a Honda.

Remember, this is the TOKYO Game Show. The titles on display are primarily geared towards Japanese taste.

Remember this is focused towards the Japanese market so:

Ninja blade reveal
Lost Oddysey 2
Cry On
Last remnant and star ocean exclusive to 360
Alan Wake and keep it clean reveal( only thing not focused on Japanese market)
Maybe splinter cell but doubt it
