Surprise XBLA threefer: Stickball, Beat'n Groovy, and Shadow Assault

Here's some random Arcade news for you. Today being new release Xbox Live Arcade Wednesday, we're being treated to the only Arcade game that was announced, MLB Stickball. Or so we thought. Magically and mysteriously, Microsoft decided to release two additional XBLA games, making today an XBLA threefer!
The three new releases include the already mentioned MLB Stickball, Voltex Inc.'s rhythm game Beat'n Groovy, as well as the game formerly known as Tenchu: Shadow Assault, Shadow Assault/Tenchu. All three games can be purchased for 800 Microsoft points and we have a hunch that you won't find all three games to be equally enjoyable. All we can say is that, this week, XBLA in Brief is going to be a fun one.

In this day and age, how can these small companies afford to put out crap? I am sure a handful of people will buy a hot steamy turn every once in a while, but even the dumbest of dumb will eventually learn.

Turd, I meant TURD! Dammit! I am not specifically referring to these games in particular, but to all shovel-ware out there.

Yay more shovelware.

Tenchu does a good job bringing it's game philosophy to a new style of gameplay. It feels like a solid arcade game, and seems to have a good amount of stages, characters, and variety of gameplay.
Beat'N Groovy is Pop'N Music for world consumption! Considering the amount of Pop'N games, this seems to be a pretty decent game. If you're adverse to japanese games with bubbly music, sure, you'll hate this. But if "Music game" brings Beatmani, DJ Max, and Dance Dance to your head, rather than Guitar Hero and Rock Band, you'll probably appreciate this.
These 2 are great suprises to be released on Tokyo Game Show week.
Stickball isn't my kinda game, so I have no comment on it ^_^

"All three games can be purchased for 800 Microsoft points ..."
So, I can get all three for a total of 800 points? Maybe that part of the post could be worded more clearly since I doubt that's the case.

wow more trash for bin.
where's my vigilante 8? or better question. WHERE THE F*** is my DISHWASHER!?

I played the dancing game, and MLB stick ball. The rhythm game is nothing more than a shitty version of DJ Max. MLB stick ball is just a god awful game. That 5.5 review in OXM is doing it justice.
