Perhaps World Tour will be the first Guitar Hero with decent DLC and frequent updates. I doubt it will ever reach Rock Band though...
ihateemo @ Oct 9th 2008 5:20PM
I am sort of relieved that none of these are actually songs I want!
Timur Tabi @ Oct 9th 2008 5:46PM
No kidding. I'm a big Rock Band fan, and part of that is because the GH DLC never excites me. I'm more interested in having fun instead of being some über-elite fake instrument player.
Hafk @ Oct 10th 2008 1:33AM
If you think Hot Blooded will be a no-fun ball buster, then you must be deaf.
Check it and see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jp_zAyBrgS8
Fever, hundred and three, etc.
(although you have most likely heard the song by now, I hope, anyway.)
Rick @ Oct 9th 2008 5:26PM
I'd like the R.E.M. songs to show up as Rock Band 2 DLC in the near future. They're great songs.
Hot Blooded would be fun for a laugh, I would think.
Matt @ Oct 9th 2008 5:30PM
seriously they need some metalcore or otherwise hardcore music
the devil wears prada?
as i lay dying?
Bob @ Nov 19th 2008 12:17AM
YES Devil Wears Prada!!!!
Jolard @ Oct 9th 2008 5:32PM
I am buying GH World Tour..... but I probably won't buy any DLC. I already have lots of Rock Band DLC, and I am confident that Rock Band DLC will continue to work through future iterations of the game. GHWT? I am not sure, and I am not going to spend the money in the hope that it will.
I am looking forward to GHWT, but they are lucky they made it compatible with the RB instruments, because I wouldn't have bought it at all otherwise.
DBoyFlex @ Oct 9th 2008 5:31PM
Wait, I thought this was rock band 2 360 fanboy.com? What is this up for?
DBoyFlex @ Oct 9th 2008 5:33PM
On another note, anybody have any problems with Live? I can sign in but cannot add my subscription codes or download anything at all, says I cannot reach live, plus I cannot sign in to xbox.com. Anybody else with that problem? I cannot post in the forums either as I cannot log into xbox.com.

hmmm i am still on the fence whether i am getting this game or not. i already have rock band 2 but i want this as well. i'm thinking about getting this game and just the guitar since it has that sweet touch pad on the neck. does anyone have the rock band 2 guitar and can comment on how it is compared to the rock band 1 guitar? thanks!
Ghoti @ Oct 9th 2008 5:43PM
The Rock Band 2 guitar is great! The strum bar is not mushy like the previous version, has a very short throw distance and light touch to strum. The main frets are a little to stiff for my liking, but the clackity clack that the RB1 guitars seemed to suffer from is not nearly as bad. I have only started messing with the little solo fret buttons, no complaints other than I wish they were a little wider.
Since switching to the RB2 strat from the GH3 Les Paul, my percentages have gone up by about 2-3%. Probably will go up even more once I get the hang of the solo buttons.
Paul @ Oct 9th 2008 8:19PM
thanks for that great review. that was pretty much everything i was concerned about with the rock band 1 guitar. i actually don't even have it but have tried many times at different friend's houses and it was the same stuff that was really annoying. i too have the wireless gh3 les paul guitar and was going to keep that and just get the rock band 2 wireless guitar as a second guitar. thanks for the help.
Bmill @ Oct 9th 2008 5:47PM
Id be really excited if it wasnt for the fact that I already have over 160 songs on the superior rock band platform...
Anticrawl @ Oct 9th 2008 5:50PM
How can you have Boston and not have "More than a Feeling"?
kevin @ Oct 9th 2008 6:20PM
get rock band and be quiet.
Anticrawl @ Oct 9th 2008 6:44PM
No, I have a rule in my house to not send any money the way of MTV. This unfortunately requires me to also never buy anything from Comedy Central, etc etc, all owned by the same company.
VaultICEE @ Oct 9th 2008 6:49PM
That's a stupid rule.
I hate MTV and all as much as the next guy, but for Rock Band, its worth it.
It's not like Guitar Hero is owned by any more of a sell out of a company than Rock Band is, anyways...
Anticrawl @ Oct 9th 2008 6:55PM
Only reason I ever got Guitar Hero was for my lady. I don't care for music games so no skin off my back haha. Fuck their stuidos. I want holywood to stay out of my games.
kevin @ Oct 9th 2008 6:57PM
i wouldnt care if hitler made rock band...i still enjoy it and should u
Mest @ Oct 9th 2008 8:18PM
too little too late for guitar hero in my opinion, ive already bought over 100 rock band tracks unless they bring some real unique music(METAL!!)which rock band lack to the table i aint buying any of there dlc
itzyaboy @ Oct 11th 2008 1:34AM
i agree with mest, too little too late. i will not be buying ghwt. yeah, there's a few songs i want but it isn't worth the $60.
Rick @ Oct 9th 2008 11:19PM
Well I am definitely looking forward to this game, and I find that out the more I play my rented copy of Guitar Hero Aerosmith over my bought copy o' Rock Band 1 & 2. I like the non blurry graphics, the complicated yet fun note charts, and the slightly relaxed hammer ons and pull offs, which makes it more fun. And I have high hopes World Tour will build on this in all the right ways. Plus I look forward to the music studio and what kind o' instrumental pieces players make.
Poor Guitar Hero II & III was shelved after Rock Band came out when I threw parties due to having the 4 player experience. Here's hoping that changes.
Tann @ Oct 10th 2008 2:25AM
yay
i definatly cannot wait for this game now!!
im so glad it comes out just after my birthday =)
Neuromancer @ Oct 10th 2008 9:32AM
Why can't No Rain be on Rock Band instead? Love that song.
Thrombo19 @ Oct 10th 2008 11:15AM
Exactly what I was going to say. Damn it all. Hopefully RB steals up some songs as repeats? :(
Reigning2112 @ Oct 10th 2008 1:19PM
if you are such a rock band lover why do you comment on guitar hero it makes no sense. don't come into guitar hero forums and dis on it. you can't hate a game that hasn't even come out yet. don't base a judgment on past installments it makes you look stupid.
Dan @ Nov 22nd 2008 6:30PM
Why is everyone saying how great RB is??
The tracklist is shokingly bad!
And the only decent songs they put as DLC so they force you to shell out more money just to have any fun playing the goddamn game!
Plus, the graphics are nothing compared to GH and the guitar controller is poorly made.
In my humble opinion...
