Video: Banjo-Kazooie 360 vs. Banjo N64
The Gametrailers folks posted a comparison video that pits upcoming Banjo-Kazooie on the Xbox 360 versus old-school Banjo-Kazooie on the N64. After our expert analysis (watching the video) we can attest that the 360 version is nearly identical to the N64 version in terms of content, but has the added benefit of crisper models and a deeper color palette. The other bonus is the replacement of all Nintendo references with Microsoft Game Studios logos. Huzzah!

whoa, crisp, colorful and with a frame rate boost.
how was this game anyway? how did it compare to Mario64?
PerfectStrategy @ Oct 9th 2008 3:56PM
Better than Mario 64 by a notch at least. Better graphics, better sound, better humor, better gameplay imo (the extra abilities of Kazooie really increase the depth). Just a really fun and charming game.

It's a bit of a collectathon, but it expands upon most of what made Mario 64 great. It's a very good game. I don't know about $15 download good... but since I'm preordering Nuts and Bolts and this is free, I'm happy.
ExMcCloud @ Oct 9th 2008 4:03PM
I be needin this ASAP...I gotta go get my pre-order on immediately...lol

Huzzah indeed!! Damn that looks really good. Major difference there in crispness and color. Getting this game free with N&B will be sweet!

The original never did anything for me. I bought it and forgot about it quickly. The collectathon nature (combined with constant backtracking) plus the relative unsympathetic nature of the characters (they were thoroughly un-endearing) killed it for me. Conker's Bad Fur Day was 10X for me.

AWESOME. Loved the first one- getting this once it's released, and I'll be anticipating the release of the second one.

What, nobody's upset the 360 version looks a little TOO much like the N64 version...?
Christian Walters @ Oct 9th 2008 8:38PM
No, its called nastalagia man! Remembering how great the N64 was is not a bad thing!
The_Punisher (MR ESC NOOOOO) @ Oct 9th 2008 9:17PM
But i want improvements too :(
It's been fking YEARS, i want something a little more than this (although replacing Nintendo with Microsoft did make me laugh)

Yes, I'm disappointed that Banjo is not receiving the kind of graphical overhaul that's being done to Klonoa.

This makes Klonoa an absolute-buy for me, and not so much for Banjo.
Christian Walters @ Oct 9th 2008 8:37PM
I just wanna see what they do about the Gameboy that Banjo plays on the file select screen.....perhaps an Xbox Portable? If only!
DJcube @ Oct 9th 2008 9:51PM
It's still a Game Boy in the 360 version.
Anyway, this is still my favourite game and I'm very much looking forward to playing it again (especially with the 360 controller).
Patius @ Oct 9th 2008 9:05PM
Its a good game, but I don't think I'm going to buy it again just for some slightly better graphics.
I probably will get nuts and bolts though.

pre-order and kill 2 birds with 1 stone!

Uh... is it just me or is that the "longest" trailer ever? I'm getting some sort of strange error where the video is 5-6 times taller than my monitor.
erivera3 @ Oct 10th 2008 12:35AM
Same here, x3f should fix that stuff
Ethan Rom @ Oct 10th 2008 9:21AM
Thank god!
I thought I just smoked way too much this morning.
