A look at the NXE's Marketplace online

With the November 19th launch of the New Xbox Experience, not only will we see a complete dashboard overhaul, but changes are a coming to Xbox.com and the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The Gamerscore Blog just posted a image preview of how Xbox.com will look with its enhanced XBLM features, including the ability to browse all XBLM content, purchase goodies using your Microsoft points and queue up downloads that'll insta-download the next time you turn on your Xbox 360. We already know this is going to be an extremely useful XBLM searching tool and one of convenience, thumbs up to the Microsoft peeps.

Slightly off topic, but have you guys heard any news about if Microsoft is planning to add NTFS support for external drives to the console in the future?
It seems pretty silly that a Microsoft console wouldn't support this. . .

Really?
I don't want to pay £150 for 120 Gigglybytes.

this looks really handy and easy to use. i'm definitely looking forward to it. i had actually forgotten about this feature since there is just so many changes to the xbox 360 dashboard itself. it really seems like there is at least one feature in this entire fall update that everyone can get excited about. november 19th can't come soon enough

Wow, I completely forgot about the ability to purchased from the XBLM on xbox.com.
This will be incredibly useful for me, since my college has network settings in place that don't allow me to connect my 360 to XBL. I've been worried I'd miss out on something good (like half priced Rock Band content) because it was only available for a limited time.

damn. sucks to be you

you still have to log into XBL to download purchases.. the convenience factor is browsing xbox[dot]com and queue up purchases for download next time you boot up the 360..
if you cant get your 360 connected to XBL you wont get the NXE update either.. but, after NXE goes live, you might be able to download the update and burn it to dvd.. got to
http://www.xbox.com/en-us/support/systemuse/xbox360/console/systemupdates.htm and read about it..

Ooooooh this looks really nice. I love being able to just sign on xbox.com and stroll through and get what you want to download. I am so excited for November 19th!!

This feature would have been great last year when I was at uni and couldn't get on LIVE. Missed out on free undertow :(

This is a download queue only, kinda like Halo 3, you still need to connect to get content.
OrionnoirO @ Oct 10th 2008 8:40PM
Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't you still be able to que up free limited time content to be downloaded later? As long as the que still has it on it, when the person were to connect their 360 it would download the content, as the "purchase" had already been made, similar to how it allows later redownload of "limited" time content.
DSK UK @ Oct 11th 2008 5:46AM
Or at the very least it would be in my download history :)
stacy daniels @ Oct 10th 2008 8:15PM
anyone know if you will be able put and save pics on ya 360 via a usb memory stick once the dash gets updated??
read some where they fixing this?
ryan @ Oct 10th 2008 8:30PM
it really is coming together nicely, but why no multiple downloads simultaneously?
Tony @ Oct 10th 2008 9:42PM
I think from MS's standpoint they'd be wasting multiple connections on single units and they don't see a point to it. Your speed would just be divided up anyway, nothing would come faster. I would, however, like to be able to sort the order of things I'm downloading if nothing else.
Also this Web site is a wonderful idea. I was hoping they'd do this for quite some time.
