Reading the headline, it's fair to assume that we're trying to make the general gaming public jealous. To a certain extent, that's true. As an entity, X3F
does have
Dead Space already. On a person by person basis, only
one of our three writers can make the same claim. That writer is
Dustin Burg. We suggest you direct your (well justified) anger toward him. Take some comfort in this though: we've got a
lot of
Dead Space related fun planned for next week.
Once you chew back your envy, try to regain your composure and tell us what you're playing this weekend.

Fracture!!! I don't know why people are so harsh with this game. It's so awesome!! None stop action, lots of destruction and weapons are cool. Haven't played multiplayer yet tho.
Brothers in Arms:Hell's Highway. Good game all around. Haven't played multiplayer yet either.
Halo 3 of course.
Maybe some Silent Hil:Homecoming. but that's about it. Can't wait for the games following next week, Fable II, Far Cry, and Gears 2, oh and Mirror's Edge.
Jay900 @ Oct 10th 2008 4:12PM
rock band 2 and maybe some halo 3 (getting back into that game)
Urza @ Oct 10th 2008 4:13PM
Dustin? The Halo fanboy? How can he possibly appreciate Dead Space when all he does is drool over Halo.
Arnie @ Oct 10th 2008 4:17PM
I was actually surprised that Dustin was testing out Dead Space since I believe Richard is the resident fan of the horror genre at X3F. Anyway waiting to hear from Dustin on his impressions.
The game looks really scary and I might rent it at some point in time when I get tired of playing Fable 2.
As for what am I playing ? Lost Odyssey (my first foray into JRPGs and I wish I had picked something more action oriented)
Alex @ Oct 10th 2008 4:41PM
I love horror games, but I can't remember ever being 'scared' by one. Yeah, i get the occasional jump on Fear and Condemned, but never scared in the way that I should be. Movies I think are mostly scarier than games. Maybe I'll feel different when the graphics on games get so good you can't tell what's real or CGI.

I was going to play the crap out of Silent Hill this weekend so it wouldn't overlap with Dead Space too much, but after finally getting my Amazon preorder yesterday, I discovered that the game has no Y-axis inversion for the camera.
Hopefully there will be a patch by the time I'm done with Dead Space. (or at least Mirror's Edge)
The_Punisher (MR ESC NOOOOO) @ Oct 10th 2008 4:21PM
I want Dead Space NOW! :(
Paulmichael @ Oct 10th 2008 4:22PM
Sadly, my 360 will probably only be turned on this weekend to watch some TV shows I downloaded on my computer. This isn't due to lack of things to play, but rather because the LBP beta is ending on Sunday, so that's pretty much all I'll be doing this weekend. When the 21st hits I'm going to be a full $120 poorer thanks to LBP and (most likely) Fable 2 though...

cannot wait for Dead Space! and yah, this will be an expensive month with DS, Fable and Fallout 3. i might try and rent Fracture just for something to do (gotta love the rental pass). what kind of Dead Space goodness can we look forward to next week from X3F?
Alex @ Oct 10th 2008 4:44PM
Guitar Hero: WT, Fable and Dead Space come out on the SAME DAY here in the UK, Far Cry 2, Fallout, Gears 2... Maybe Mirror's Edge - Depending if a demo comes out.
That's about £390 worth of gameage this month. Sheet.

I am VERY jealous that you guys get to be playing Dead Space early! I've got my pre-order in, and can't wait until Tuesday! Just finished Metal Gear Solid 4 last night. I still have Assassins Creed, Orange Box, and Mass Effect to finish on the 360. I'm almost done with Mass Effect, so i'll probably try to finish that too before Dead Space. On the PS3 side I still have Ratchet and Clank Future Tools of Destruction, and GRID.
So many games, so little time!! haha. :)
NukeAssault @ Oct 10th 2008 4:50PM
Haloz and COD4 if im invited to some games. I intend on taking up that Toys R Us offer. So ill be playing what ever i pick up there as well. =D
mirage @ Oct 10th 2008 4:51PM

Teabag @ Oct 10th 2008 6:55PM
Brothers In Arms HH on the PC. Will be packing the 360 in for a month. Going to hometown. Goodbye gaming... :(
*sad face*
erivera3 @ Oct 10th 2008 8:57PM
Halo 3 and COD4, though I can't wait for Dead Space. Reminds me a lot of FEAR, should be intense!
Lots of great games coming up! Great time to own a 360 as always!
alex @ Oct 11th 2008 6:24AM
Will be playing fallout 3 all weekend, have the weekend off too!
Jayslacks @ Oct 11th 2008 9:38AM
I'll be hitting up some Halo 3, some Dark Sector because I need a horror fix, and maybe some Soul Caliber 4, because I'm masochist for some reason...
