wune @ Oct 13th 2008 7:53PM
happy birthday tomorrow!
I am excited for Dead Space because I need a good scare, and with how the developers researched loads of movies and whatnot to find out so many ways to scare and freak the living poo out of people, I don't think I'll be disappointed. :)
HazyCloud @ Oct 13th 2008 1:05PM
Need moar scare in my life! Condemned 2 and Alone in the Dark couldn't pull it off.
docLEXfisti @ Oct 13th 2008 1:06PM
I'm excited about Dead Space, because it seems to be influenced by Event Horizon and I like that. It is also published by EA and I still like it.

I am really excited to play the game that is built on the framework laid by Warren Ellis who is one of my favorite comic and graphic novel writers! Plus.....strategic dismemberment. Enough said.
Moggman @ Oct 13th 2008 1:07PM
dismemberment is always fun
Cameron @ Oct 13th 2008 1:57PM

How different it looks.
Copenhagun @ Oct 13th 2008 1:08PM
I'll be honest with you, I've always been a fan of horror movies/games. I was born on Halloween and turn 33 this Halloween. It'd be nice to sit back with some Dead Space goodness on my 33rd bday.
Jambi_Bum @ Oct 13th 2008 1:08PM
The fact that this is really the only horror game I have ever really been excited about. Mostly because it is set in space and the zero gravity effects make me happy. That and the comics about the story of dead space got me really excited.
ninpo @ Oct 13th 2008 1:09PM
taking out limbs is really going to change up the gameplay!
Mcfail @ Oct 13th 2008 1:10PM

Save the Space
Will @ Oct 13th 2008 1:12PM
Its like Bioshock, in space, but better! I hear that the dialogue/voice acting and plot is top-notch, so that's awesome. I'm really excited about it.
Sylvanus @ Oct 13th 2008 1:10PM
definitely the helmet!
matt247 @ Oct 13th 2008 1:09PM
the gravity
Spatial Zero @ Oct 13th 2008 1:21PM
Dead Space's anti-gravity stuff looks pretty freaking cool
Scott O. @ Oct 13th 2008 1:11PM
gotta be how you can hack the limbs off and such. this game looks to be my res. evil fix for now.
FriskyFlorist @ Oct 13th 2008 1:10PM
I'm excited about it simply because it looks to be the first real survival horror game since the days of the PS2. Silent Hill Homecoming wasn't as scary as I'd like and other than that there's been nothing for those of us who enjoy playing their games at 2:00 in the morning with the lights out. If this game can hook me like the old Silent Hills did and, to a lesser extent, Resident Evil (which I love but it was only scary when I was 6 :P) I'll be one happy man.
TooTallTony @ Oct 13th 2008 1:10PM
What excites me most about Dead Space is that it seems to be the only survival/horror game in a long while to actually have both survival AND horror.
Whitedragon101 @ Oct 13th 2008 1:10PM
well gee, the dismemberment and many ways of enemy death of course!
Joseph @ Oct 13th 2008 1:11PM
I'm most excited about the look of the game. I think having no HUD is going to be great, and will give a much more immersive feeling.
iFester @ Oct 13th 2008 1:11PM
I think it's a guarantee the game will make me shit myself, but I'm intrigued about the plot.
Yuccadude @ Oct 13th 2008 1:11PM
Definitely the badass helmet that Isaac wears, because if I wanted to be an engineer in space, that would be the helmet that I'd want.
Eric @ Oct 13th 2008 1:11PM
I'm most excited that EA is making a good original game.
hi @ Oct 13th 2008 1:11PM
killing some space creeps
Aaron Lewis @ Oct 13th 2008 1:14PM
I excited to see how the plot unfolds...
Stevil @ Oct 13th 2008 1:12PM

gamergutz @ Oct 13th 2008 1:13PM
I have to see if they play closely to the noknownsurvivors.com vidoes... I Love the plot and story...
Munkcy @ Oct 13th 2008 1:12PM
I haven't played a good horror-survival game in a while.
Josh @ Oct 13th 2008 1:13PM
"Strategic Dismemberment" (as EA puts it) just sounds fantastic! This, Gears 2 and Left 4 Dead are at the top of my list this year.
blearghieat @ Oct 13th 2008 1:15PM
Visuals and the mining laser. Looks awesome.
Teh Bonerer @ Oct 13th 2008 1:15PM
what excites me the most is that finally EA is on a role with great games, its been quite a while since i liked EA's work but i loved Battlefield Bad Company, Skate, and mirrors edge looks amazing, maybe i just love DICE too? who knows, but hey its been a great year for EA game wise, but as for all the business they have been doing to buy out people, thats a little shady.
