EA boss says to expect more Mercenaries

Released in late August, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames has sold 1.9 million units across four platforms. Riccitiello made the announcement when asked if EA's recent releases were considered "sequelable" by the publisher -- who has posted a $310 million loss for its second quarter fiscal release. The EA CEO also stated that each of the mentioned titles were not likely to see annual releases.

More Spore? Really?
MaxRadical @ Oct 31st 2008 11:46AM
They removed content from spore so it could be released as expansions later on.
As much as I understand EA is a business with money as a goal - that's a pretty cold move.

Spore can have sequels?

Yeah what a steaming pile MERCS 2 is.......such a disappointment since I really thought Pandemic was more capable than that.

Sequelable?? say that 3 times fast...

Mercs was definatly in piles.. Yatzhee reviewed it well...
Mirrors' Edge seemed interesting, til the demo.. you can run, jump, climb and slide as long, as it's that way.. combat felt an after thought.. stupid timed button presses, then combat slides didn't go as far as they felt they should - apparenty it becomes a shooter later on.. guess they ran out of ideas latter on.. although, it felt kinda like Portal, except with agility..
So I'll give it another go later.. as I hear Dead Space is quite good, closer to Gears than Resi 4, it sounds promising..
EA making a turn around from the post 16bit to before Dead Space era?.. then milk it dry by the 1st set of sequels?
