WRUP: To absent friends edition

This is just getting silly now. For the second week in a row, Xav is off in some undisclosed location playing an undisclosed game. We are positively irked. Once again, we've taken the liberty of filling in his entry, as he's not around to stop us.

Dustin Burg (SuperDunners): I'll make this short and toothsome. All of my free weekend gaming time will be devoted to playing Halo 3 multiplayer. And that is no exaggeration, I do mean all of it. Reason being that Gears of War 2 releases next week which will result in absolutely zero Halo 3 gaming for a long, long while. So, this weekend will be my Halo 3 farewell. I promise not to get too emotional.

Richard Mitchell (SenseiRAM): Lately, I'm just trying to find time to play anything at all. I played Arkadian Warriors (of all things) for a little while this morning. Some Duke 3D as well. I've progressed just a bit in Silent Hill: Homecoming, and it's already improved significantly. Something else to get into, if I have time, is Sam & Max on the Wii. I've also been digging into some homebrew stuff on my DS. I have no idea how I'll make it through November. Left 4 Dead is my only certain purchase. After that, the winds will have to guide me.

Xav de Matos (Snypz): Xav decided to break out the NES Power Glove. No, he won't actually be playing any games with it. He just likes to wear it. In public. He will, however, be playing actual games with an old NES Power Pad. Also in public. But seriously though, he's playing something. If you'd like to know what it is, come back early next week.

I imagine I'll be finishing the main story line in Fable II this weekend. I know, I know, it's a short game and pretty much everyone is done but I don't have a lot of time lately and I keep getting distracted by all the sidequests. Even my wife is farther along in the game then I am.

Also, I'll be busy doing the trick-or-treat thing with the kids tonight but I am really hoping to get a chance to try the Mirror's Edge demo this weekend as well.

I'm this close to pre-order it just to play the demo early, then I realized Gears is coming out a day later. Hopefully, I can make it til the 11th.

*GASP*

Any good wine drinker knows you don't hold a white wine glass by the bowl. That warms the wine, which is undesirable. At least they are using the proper glass for a Chardonnay!

Actually, I'm likely to be like the guy in the back drinking his wine out of a juice glass!

What you should do is get that last achievement you need (THIS! IS! ANNEX!) in Gears b4 Gears 2 comes out. C'mon man be part of the 1250 club :P

I'll be juggling Fable and Fallout this weekend. And don't get mad at me, but if Bladestorm arrives from Goozex, I might have a dip into that.

I've also rekindled a love for GTA4 and Lost Odyssey, trying to polish off both games before the deluge hits, and I'm already behind in that.

And no doubt the wife'll want some Rock Band action this weekend too. Maybe we'll go cheevo-hunting in RB1 instead of defaulting to RB2 - never did get around to finishing the Expert vocal solo tour, and there's a bunch more city completion cheevo's to work on.

Rock Band 2 by day...Fallout 3 by night. Sleeping at some point and watching Oregon beat up Cal on Saturday will be happening as well. :)

Hmmmm, less than a week before Gears is out and Lovefilm (closest UK equivalent to Gamefly) just sent me Dead Space. Looks like i'll be busy trying to get finished with that before re-emergence day

Originally thought I was going to put Fallout 3 here, but that game wore out it's welcome fast. So, I'm finishing up the achievements in Fable II (Darn hero dolls!) and may start my second playthrough. Also some pub games and COD 5 beta if I have time.
