Shipping this week: Boring edition

Is there a more boring month than November? It's like there's nothing worth playing this month at all. After the debacle that was last week, this week is completely bereft of anything even remotely resembling fun in even the most infinitesimal way. Seriously, have you seen what's coming out this week? Just take a look.

Gears of War 2
Tom Clancy's EndWar

See? Nothing. Ah well, maybe we'll finally get something worth playing next week.

Agree! It has been in stores for a little while now (about a week). My G-Friend works at Walmart and has a pic of it on her phone. I want to "Borrow" it until Friday night... not that I am completely done with Fable 2 or even started Fallout 2 Yet.

I was interested in that civil war game i didnt buy the first because no multiplayer and guess what.No multiplayer once again that really pisses me off.

That game would kick ass with multiplayer and they failed to deliver.

I've been waiting months to play History Channel Civil War: Secret Mission! Hopefully they fixed the quick musket reload glitch that plagued the last one's multiplayer.

I really wanted to play it, but they kept pushing back the street date. Now I'll be too busy with other (probably better) games. Such is the month of November, I suppose.

I actually agree with the title.

Not into recycled shooters, Playing the same shooters I played 5 years ago on the PC with better graphics just doesn't interest me.

Agreed, these games are getting the Big Skip from me too. Gears was a competent game but it was so generic.

No I think its a horse training simulator.

You're both right. It's a horse training simulator puzzle game. Tiny horses fall from the top of the screen. Connect 3 horses of the same colour, and they expode, releasing power orbs which teach the other horses kung-fu moves, which are used in the following level to fight the evil mole overlords.

I know, I know, it's a wonder I don't work in game design, isn't it?

I do think this is boring. My big releases were the Penny Arcade game and Telltale's episodic releases. Seriously.

I could care less about shooters, though I don't fault anyone for preferring that over my dull point and click adventures. I just hate this universal standard of "this is what an amazing video game is" being applied to them.
