We've already shown you the bonus maps -- only available to people who purchase a new copy of Gears of War 2 -- now we're continuing with the rest of the maps. In this first of two videos we examine the multiplayer maps included on the retail disc for Gears of War 2. Watch as we run through the maps Avalanche, Blood Drive, Day One, Hail and Jacinto showcasing some of the weapons found throughout the map as well as the various environmental effects you'll encounter when the game launches tomorrow.

can i get the flashback maps by renting the game? if i cant play gridlock tomorrow cause i didnt buy the game imma be pretty upset..

new maps look awesome, avalanche and security will probably be pretty solid for me..

The Bonus maps "gridlock,canals,subway,tyro station,masion." are only in un'opend gears of war 2 games. easy way of saying this ..buy the game ""NEW""and get the bonus maps and its only one time use code so no sharing codes. For blockbuster they remove the codes from the boxes so NO. Just buy the game.

damn.. i guess ill have to call around to see if someone can hook me up with a code..

Gridlock is my favorite map, without it Gears of War just isnt the same.. IMO its the best map in the first game, im hurt they wouldnt include it on the disc..

anyone know how long the maps will be available for download? i havent read anything about a cut off date.

so effin true.......i feel like i'm going to have some type of mental breakdown after watching these vids cause it so close......

More on topic, the atmosphere in these maps are amazing...so much background noise that makes it seem so much more real...I love the way hail looked with the rain, there should have been a couple more maps like that one where it is more dark and gloomy, because it looked amazing.....

Got his game at midnight New Zealand time, and apart from myself, and a few other kiwis, it was all jerks playing on pirated copies crying because they can't get a golden lancer/hammerburst and the Flashback maps with their pirated copies. Oh, the horror of a pirates life ;)

Looking forward to other genuine fans that forked out the coin joining games as the day progresses :)

Be cool if sometime down the road they gave us the PC Maps from Gears 1 as DLC for 400 points or something. A lot of us never played Gears1 on the PC. I've always been curious about those mapS. To me there like the lost maps I never got to play. Anyone else agree?
