Video: Mirror's Edge does yellow too!
Here she is, Faith, jumping, kicking and being all acrobatic in the final Mirror's Edge trailer, the game's official launch trailer. Even better than the fact that the trailer is action filled and "jump-tacular" is the proof that Mirror's Edge has other colors than white, blue and red. No joke, there's green and (GASP!) yellow. Yes sir, we were just as amazed as you probably are right now.
Color wheel discussion aside, the trailer is enjoyable and upbeat enough to make us want to run down to our local retailer to plop down our pre-order cash. No joke.

I was sold just after playing the demo. What's not to like?!
Alex @ Nov 7th 2008 12:16PM
Haven't tried the demo because my 360 RRODed 73% of the way through download. Now I won't be able to play GH:WT when it comes either. Or finish Far Cry. Or get Dead Space. Or Fable II. Or Fallout 3. Or Gears 2. CoD 5 can wait, I won't be missing that. (Oooooohhh! Controversial!)
Boff @ Nov 7th 2008 11:18AM
STILL haven't tried the demo yet! It's sitting on the hard drive but you know how it is.
I'm busy with a certain other game at the moment.....

No multiplayer...no longevity.
Brian Arnold @ Nov 7th 2008 11:37AM
I'd consider buying it, but Arthas needs his ass kicked more than I need to run around rooftops. :)
robotoid @ Nov 7th 2008 11:41AM
I was sold before playing the demo and secured and much more excited after playing it.
great trailer. I want it now.
Heather @ Nov 7th 2008 11:45AM
I preordered it last week. Want that yellow bag!
deyja @ Nov 7th 2008 11:49AM
whats that song?
sully @ Nov 7th 2008 2:44PM
The song is some remix of Lisa Miskovsky - Still Alive. Anyone know the name of that remix?
sully @ Nov 7th 2008 3:42PM
Okay, back from doing some research on the Web. It's a cut from the Armand Van Helden remix of the song. The part played in this trailer starts around 1:02.
Neeko @ Nov 7th 2008 11:52AM
if they can implement some form of beat your time intot he game i would really consider getting it. but without multiplayer i dont see the replay value.
i prob will still give this game a try.
Tony Bowman @ Nov 7th 2008 11:59AM
it has a time trial mode. it's even in the demo, which can be unlocked in the demo if you pre-ordered the game, i believe.
pandlcg @ Nov 7th 2008 11:59AM
I'm pretty sure they do have time trials. I'm not sure how they're implemented but it does give it some longevity.
Arno @ Nov 7th 2008 12:01PM
AWESOME!
Kia @ Nov 7th 2008 12:09PM
That remix of such a gorgeous song was absolutely terrible. First the vocals, now this techno crap. It's like they shit all over it every time there's an addition made.
Admittedly the vocals grew on me, but still.
adam Schoor @ Nov 7th 2008 1:11PM
what's the name of the song playing the the trailer. i know it from somewhere and can't place my finger on it.
atruelove@belcan.com @ Nov 7th 2008 12:16PM
Pre-order Shme.....order. Gamefly FTW!! I'm so happy I don't have to "plop down" $60 freaking dollars anymore for a game I'm only gonna play once.
MrMuggs @ Nov 7th 2008 12:16PM
This game reminds me of Portal in the sense that there won't be a ton of replay value and it will probably be short but it's an experience you must have as a gamer. This looks absolutely incredible and plays amazingly. I'm sure I'll spend time perfecting my runs and doing time trials but this is probably a 2 week rental for me. I'll play through it for a few weeks and then return it. I typically don't buy games that don't have a multiplayer component that adds significantly to the longevity of the game.
As a side note, for those that want this FPS experience, check out an old school ps1 game called Jumping Flash:

I remember playing Jumping Flash 13 years ago and being blown away by the first person view. You felt like you were in the head of the giant robotic bunny controlling its jumps and movement. After playing it for a few hours, when I finished playing I remember moving my head and feeling a weird "lag" sensation from being in that first person view for so long. That night I went to bed and had dreams about playing it. I'll never forget that game. It was incredibly innovative considering this was 13+ years ago.
Sp1der X @ Nov 7th 2008 12:19PM
didn't you guys say something about the game having no green in it at all like a few months back? what happened to that?
Chris Thomas @ Nov 10th 2008 11:58AM
Dude who cares what colors are in this game...have you played the demo? I have several times because it just feels cool. I can't wait till I have a few extra bucks to afford buying it. I think the time trial mode will give lots of replay look at the success of the Braid speed runs and the leaderboards for those.
Chroma @ Nov 7th 2008 12:48PM
White isn't a color.
E2400 @ Nov 7th 2008 3:05PM
What about orange and black?
Chroma @ Nov 7th 2008 3:23PM
Orange is, but black is not.
todd @ Nov 7th 2008 3:36PM
Like it but gonna wait for it cheap.
Joe @ Nov 8th 2008 1:51PM
Way to go to ruin a perfectly okay song.
