A peek inside Gears 2's Day One arcade

Our compadres over at Joystiq took a gander through the Gears of War 2's arcade that's featured in the multiplayer map "Day One" and, not only did they grab a few screenshots, but they also analyzed the heck outta the entire setup. It's a very informative arcade analysis. We advise you view what the Playland Arcade has to offer and whether or not you're up for beating the high scores in "Murder Simulator", "Malicious Delicious" or our GOTY pick "Carny Brawl". Oh how we love our "Carney Brawl" ...

Slightly off topic... has anyone else been revived by Dom & been told "walk it off pussy"?? Hilarious.

I've been too busy killing off locust to realize the level of detail they put into the arcade bit. Very nice. Murder simulator, hahaha.
Epic.

They should have been concentrating their time on making the multiplayer not a lagfest and a waiting game in between matches.

Have not experienced an ounce of lag. But the matchmaking is awful, simply awful. I want more control. I liked the lobby system and being able to kick out the fuckwads who didn't know how to act, or just being able to turn on friendly fire to get them out of the room. Wish we could have the party system, the new game setup and a lobby system. Or atleast keep lobbies for public and let the ranked matches be matchmade. Plus matchmaking is slow as hell if you don't have a full party and you can't choose the gametype you want.

I'm suprised they didn't put a machine in for "One Must Fall 2097". That would have been a nice touch.

I'm thinking of getting the game, but keep hearing about certain glitches that allow you to levitate and blow yourself through walls. One thing I hate in any game is glitches and pop-up textures. Hate both with a passion!
So, do these glitches manifest themselves in the campaign or only in multi-player? Is the game problem free enough to be getting high nines or is there some bias going on. I'm looking for honest answers her for people how have *actually* played both campaign and multi-player. I don't want my first purchase on the 360 to be tainted.
