After no announcement earlier this week and the
discovery of three new titles on the
Arcade Hits page on Xbox.com, we were fairly certain there would be no new Xbox Live Arcade title this week. After checking the Marketplace this morning, our suspicions have been confirmed. There is no new title, but
Worms,
Feeding Frenzy, and
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 have all had their prices slashed to 400 Microsoft Points. So, we've got a hardcore fighter, a casual fish eating simulator and one of the best party games around all for only five bucks each. It's not new, but it's not bad if you've ever thought about picking one of these up.

Cool -- does Worms have offline multiplayer? It'd be fun to play that with the Mrs.

I'm sure it does.
Everyone should own Worms.
wargamer17 @ Nov 12th 2008 10:46AM
Yes, it does. I don't own it, but the trial did when I played it with my cousin.
Adam @ Nov 12th 2008 10:46AM
It most certainly does. Our family plays multiplayer worms offline regularly and it is oh so very much fun.
Agreed with aStagnantSleep that everyone should own Worms, especially for that price.

I am a fan of feeding frenzy. Feeding Frenzy 2 is a nice improvement though.

SOB! My g/f just bought Frenzy over the weekend. Any XBL price guarantees built into the NXE?
Andrew @ Nov 12th 2008 12:37PM
No, it's just bad luck...

I'm trying to download the Feeding Frenzy demo right now and it is not working. I keep getting a "Can't Download" message.

What's Richard gonna to with XBLA In Brief this week?

One thing that seems to have been missed is that people who preordered Banjo Nuts & Bolts get the N64 version weeks before it's released on XBLA. So in a sense there was an arcade title released today.
