Kingdom Under Fire II trailer has the goods

We know you're asking the same question: weren't there two Kingdom Under Fire games on the original Xbox, and wasn't there another spin-off on the Xbox 360 already? The answer to both of those questions is yes but, as Unreal Tournament and Resident Evil and Silent Hill have shown us, the traditional numbering conventions just don't apply to video games anymore. It's best just to let the confusion go. One thing that's certain though, Kingdom Under Fire II looks fantastic. We have no idea how it actually plays, but a new in-game debut trailer proves that KUFII is packing some serious graphical muscle. Thousands of soldiers on screen, trolls, winged beasts, and even one positively giant creature at the end really deliver the feeling of a truly epic battle.
Will it be any fun to play? We don't know, but given the success of the series on Xbox (let's not count Circle of Doom, mkay?), we're cautiously optimistic. Check out the trailer after the break.

Damn thats fuckin EPIC.
I love how dino comes in at the end and crushes the soldiers lol.
Makes me think that future multi-player games might have 1,000 people death match or team death match!

Oh my.
Oh my oh my oh my.
KUF is easily one of my favorite series in the world of Video Games, and seeing the above trailer has literally made me squeal in glee. Honestly, its the perfect combination of hack and slash and RTS, allowing personalization and customization of the troops that rivals no other.
Also, IGN had an interview, where they stated that the intend to eventually meld 99 Nights and KUF together, and I literally had a heart attack. That would easily be the best. Game. Ever.
And I can't wait to use that new Behemoth at the end. The old version was like a cthulhu elephant, I like the dinosaur approach there.
However, they're saying that a subscription service for the MMO portion might be added on, which I say is horrible Idea. I don't want to have to pay to play the game more than the requisite amount for XBLive.

I'm sure the game is fine and all but I have to say:
That's the funniest picture caption I've read in a while.

Why are they still making Ninety Nine Nights if they already have this? KUF was better in every way than N3. It must be some contractual obligation, or maybe they don't want to upset Mizuguchi.

That F'n comment was hatefull as all hell "captain cornrows" my a$$, I think its a great look for an African American especially since they got it right for a change and didn't give dude some BS rows that look like mini Mohawks or small bushes like in SC4! So I guess blacks on videogames can only rock the cesear, baldy, baldy w/ muustach, or that g@y @$$ curly fro puff that the dude from high school muciscal rocks!
Aside from that the trailer looks mean, I just hope they don't pull a circle of doom on us cuz that game sucked sweaty balls, even after you lvl'd up and had a decent weapon! Story and mission objectives were booty butt cheeks!
P.S. let the hate start!

This game looke F'N AWSOME, circle of doom sucked but if they base this game off kuf heros then it will be one of the best games ever. One thing i hope they do is make team death match of like 10 people and each person has like 10 units, on each team to make a huge battle.
