Halo 3's Orbital peeks from behind the curtain

Recently, the contents of the Halo 3: Recon issue of Game Informer made their way online, detailing some never before heard Recon deets and also confirming what the Vidmaster achievements unlocked. But also inside is information (and the first screens) of the the Halo 3 multiplayer map Orbital, which is one of the three maps that'll be included in the Mythic Map Pack. From what we can read of the text, Orbital is a map based on an orbital tether that's hovering above Earth and is comprised of two asymmetrical tunnel hallways that overlap. It looks good, sounds good and gets our inner Halo fanboy giddy with anticipation. Joy!

Hmm for some reason, I thought there were 6 maps coming. Not sure why I thought that but I couldve swore I heard about 6 maps. Oh well, 3 is still good.

6 maps are coming, but microsoft is milking it for all it's worth, so they split into 3 and 3. The final 3 are being held back until Halo 3:Recon comes out.

Guess it doesnt surprise me. But geez, if they have 6 maps pretty much complete, which is what I thought i read some where, then to milk it in that sense is just low and dirty.
Maybe 3 new maps next year might rekindle my Halo 3 urge but who knows. Id hope thered be some new games through out the year that would take over my Halo urge. Even now, its died a little and as much as I look forward to the 3 new maps this January, I dont see them extending my game play all that much. Out of the 3, ill probably really like just one of them, which seems to be the average percentage wise as far as i am concerned. Theres only a handful of Halo 3 maps that ive really enjoyed since the beginning.

Its November already, that exact statement has been said one or more times in every Halo 3 thread for months. Drop it already. Its not funny. And people will just mistake you for being stupid enough to seriously ask the question.
