The 'Rich and Famous' list of celeb Avatars

Our Joystiq counterparts put together a photo gallery of New Xbox Experience Avatar awesomeness. It's a photo gallery of the the gaming community's (rich and famous) elite, side by side with their custom Avatars.
Go ahead, take a browse for yourself. You'll spot Xbox celebs like Major Nelson and the entire GSB crew as well as N'Gai, Godfree, CheapyD, FourZeroTwo and many more. Also, please excuse the numerous Joystiq and X3F blogger pics, because we're neither rich or famous. But we have to fuel our own personal egos somehow ... right?
Ed. Note: Xav has been added. Rest easy, kids.

It's shan't...:)

SourNotHardcore @ Nov 20th 2008 5:06PM
Lol a couple of them actually look like their avatar.

A little off topic, but is anyone else a little disappointed with the new xbox experience? Me and my friends find ourselves spending a lot more time in the menus to do things we could normally access in less than 3 seconds (like check friends available..IE: see a list instead of strolling to the right to see their avatars).
Also, while I do like the idea of making the avatar a little more detailed than the Mii, I was kind of disappointed by the fact I couldn't move or resize things like eyes, mouths, noses, etc on the face. I know it sounds odd.. but the overly simplistic Mii looks a lot more like me than my Avatar, which I wasn't expecting at all...and it's just because I was able to make things bigger, smaller, and position them on the face anywhere I want it.
Is there anyway you kind bloggers here at XB3 fanboy could give a big hint to Msoft to at least go ahead and be able to move and resize facial features?
I will admit though the menus does look a lot more modern. Maybe I just need time learning exactly where to go before I get quick with the new OS.

You can view your friends in 'list form' via the guide. :D
AoE @ Nov 20th 2008 5:50PM
Mr. Burg is right about the guide, it keeps things efficient. To be honest, moving from task to task seems even quicker with the new dash to me...
As for lack of sizing/positioning ability with the avatars? I agree 100%, that would have made the avatars much better.

Thanks for the tips regarding the friends list.. found it actually just a few minute ago myself :)
FLaSHBaCK @ Nov 20th 2008 5:39PM
Where is Xavs avatar? :(
prence @ Nov 20th 2008 5:53PM
Haha, these people are who counts as 'famous' in the video game world eh?
ice~ @ Nov 20th 2008 6:09PM
at first I completely abhored the idea of avatars, but after seeing how closely mine resembles me and my friends avatars resemble them, I'm pretty amazed by it...if only they could make them usefull...or give us avi clothing and stuff for achievements, that'd be a dream come true

Theres mine :)
Perno @ Nov 20th 2008 7:55PM
I was hoping for actual famous and rich people. They'll come out eventually I suppose.
Yes a lot of them look right on!
Jonman @ Nov 20th 2008 8:04PM
Yikes - some of those photos have been stretched beyond the point of unflattering. Poor Trixie looks wider than she is tall.
ANTHOLOGY @ Nov 20th 2008 8:22PM
Most of them look good, but LMOA at Major Nelson. He looks nothing like his avatar.
joe @ Nov 21st 2008 6:52AM
Libe, DirtyDiva, and Veronica for the win. I wouldnt mind playing some late night Uno with those avatars :) wink wink nudge nudge
Jack @ Nov 21st 2008 8:03AM
I love how even the host of a PS3 magazine qore already has there avatar, then again if I only had Resistance 2 to play Id prob have an xbox too :)
carg0 @ Nov 21st 2008 10:35AM
worst offenders: Lee, Gerstman and the pop-tart DirtyDiva. i don't know what they see in the mirror every day but it isn't anything like their avatars.
props to Crecente, Croal, McElroy and Belmont for being honest.
