Xbox Live Marketplace celebrates Black Friday

We're sure we don't have to remind the hardcore shoppers among us that Black Friday is going down this week when retailers discount merchandise like crazy. (Don't believe us? Just check out the deals!) Even better, we just learned that the Xbox Live Marketplace will be celebrating Black Friday as well.

Major Nelson just posted a list of Black Friday Marketplace deals where, starting this Friday, November 28th through the weekend, a selection of XBLM content has been discounted by as much as 37.5%. Make the jump to view all 14 items on sale, including notable XBLA games Rez HD and Assault Heroes as well as various DLC and theme discounts.

Special note: The Black Friday XBLM savings are only available to Live Gold subscribers based in the United States.

It sucks that us Canadians don't get to take part in this deal... but really, the only thing that interested me was the Castle Crashers theme anyways...

Ya, i hate our us Canadians can't get these discounts. I was thinking of getting Rez HD, and the two premium themes as well.

Unfortunately Marketplace doesn't have a picture of the Castle Crashers theme but I bought it the first day and let me tell you, it's gorgeous. It is perfect if you love Castle Crashers. The "friends village" has pictures of the Troll, Bat, a little castle, the animals orbs, the infamous owl, and a treasure chest. Also the background is very nice with a picture of a castle and the Orange Knight. It then switches to the green knight on Game Library, the red knight on video library, music library; and then it switches to the blue knight on system settings.
