Rock Band Weekly: Euro bands and Nick stars

Harmonix, being early birds about it, just released a list of next week's Rock Band DLC which will be comprised of various European bands as well as a few tracks from Nickelodeon stars. Yes, Nickelodeon music. On December 2nd, six Euro tracks will be available for 80 Microsoft points for one month (then up to 160 points) while the Nick songs will remain 80 points. ...comon, I was hoping for something a little cooler than this, its getting close to the 500 by the end of the year.
xenocidic @ Nov 27th 2008 2:50PM
no Miley Cyrus?
Barron @ Nov 27th 2008 5:47PM
Miley Cyrus is a Disney Channel star, not Nickelodeon.
Duh.
Mazrael @ Nov 27th 2008 2:59PM
must they really?
there's so much real music they could get on there and they sink to putting this kiddie crap out there..
Myztic7x @ Nov 27th 2008 3:00PM
Though its alll sooo tempting... ill only be picking up the Tokio Hotel track.
Dave Williams: International Vagrant @ Nov 27th 2008 3:16PM
Don't you dare taint the beauty of "Tempted" by Squeeze. That's the only thing I'll buy. Finally some more 80s stuff!
PSN:td_rules @ Nov 27th 2008 3:26PM
bodom on nickolodeon would be rather awesome and everyone knows it
DBoyFlex @ Nov 27th 2008 3:25PM
Wow, nick songs? Are they for real? I could see that as an april fools joke, but near the holidays? Shittiest stuff yet.
zourskittles @ Nov 27th 2008 3:32PM
Oh no guys, songs we have the option of getting. They ruined the game by expanding their music collection to appeal to a wider audience. WHAT EVER WILL WE DO?
Mazrael @ Nov 27th 2008 4:34PM
Widening the audience is a good thing.. only if it's in the right direction.. kiddie rubbish isn't..
why some more At the Gates,or some Testament, Deicide, Amon Amarth, Fear Factory.. I have albums by 50 different bands, a few of which from the 80's, that a lot of people may not of heard, & a lot of new stuff from bands that have been going 10 years, which are fairly high profile to metal heads.. maybe even do a expansion solus for metallers, I'll buy that.. I listen to a wide range of metal styles which, from Folk Metal (Korpilaani & Finntroll) to industrial (Fear Factory, Strapping Young Lad) and Black, Death & Grind (Emperor, Behemoth & the Berzerker for example).. where do I get my guitar game kicks?
I do play guitar, but only for fun on my own.. but with GH/RB I could play & listen at the same time..
Helloimbob @ Nov 28th 2008 11:08AM
Wow... you listen to 50 different metal bands... what a wide musical taste...
Roxxorsmash @ Nov 28th 2008 2:36PM
@ Mazrael
Stop whining because they expanded the tracklist, it's not like they're forcing you to download it. Besides, the "right direction" in RB DLC is a matter of opinion.
steven @ Nov 28th 2008 6:30PM
Mazrael,
Most metal sucks (except for Ozzy Ozbourne and the like). And all of those bands you listed suck even more.
willie @ Nov 27th 2008 3:39PM
FINALLY!
CHILDREN OF BODOM!!!!!

SupaYoYoMan @ Nov 27th 2008 4:59PM

Metamario Mexico @ Nov 27th 2008 5:47PM
Awesome!!! first song in spanish in ROCK BAND!!! AWESOMEEE, thnkx harmonix!!!, also, Tempted is freaking cool and the Tokio Hotel track is cool too... better than Monsoon at least... i'll also be checking the All American Rejects one.... :D
therpham @ Nov 27th 2008 5:56PM
I think this will be the first time I skip on a free DLC song. Come on, I even downloaded that American Mall track, but this? Do not want!
It's not like they ruined the game with this stuff or anything. There are hundreds of DLC tracks that I never plan on buying. I just pity the fools who had to sit around at Harmonix and come up with the notecharts for that crap.
Tegolin @ Nov 27th 2008 5:59PM
Wow.
Skipping the free track.
Maybe but the Squeeze track cause Cool For Cats was cool.
the helvetica scenario @ Nov 27th 2008 8:58PM
Nickelodeon songs? Why can't we get Killer Tofu by the Beets?
Rachaza @ Nov 27th 2008 10:55PM
YEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
MewLover34 @ Nov 27th 2008 10:30PM
So...Rock Band gets these and Guitar Hero gets The Smashing Pumpkins. Remind me why Rock Band has the better DLC...
LK @ Nov 28th 2008 10:55AM
That-a-way to single out one week compared to entire catalogue of on-going DLC.
You only have to read a list to see that Rock Band blows out GH in terms of DLC.
BTW, Rock Band got Smashing Pumpkins DLC a long time ago, so even in direct comparison, you lose.
bugatti23007 @ Nov 27th 2008 10:54PM
What about songs from Jamie Spears?
Rick @ Nov 28th 2008 3:18AM
children of bodom will be soooooo fun to play
scharface @ Nov 28th 2008 10:10AM
Well, at least they are releasing a Bodom song...
Kizzle @ Nov 28th 2008 11:15AM
This will be the first time I skip a free track.
DominicanRocker1955 @ Nov 28th 2008 12:14PM
