Video: Black Friday shoppers brawl over last 360
For the most part, the once a year Black Friday shopping event has come and gone (XBLM deals are still GO!) For those who didn't brave the shark infested shopping waters, here's a video that'll bring you up close and inside the phenomena that is Black Friday shoppers brawling over discounted electronics. Witness Walmart shoppers attack a stack of Xbox 360s and leave nothing but a skeleton of wooden pallete. 360s bring out the best and worst in people.

People are savages, can't imagine if a nation wide emergency were to happen. It would be every person for himself.
ROFLCopter @ Nov 29th 2008 6:47PM
Hilarious, big fat retarded American trailer trash fighting over some Xboxes, whilst being filmed by Microsoft employee for a pre-Xmas viral marketing campaign.
Really can't you people see how you are being manipulated? I mean when did you ever see an internet video of people fighting over shoes or jumpers...
D3athTillDawn @ Nov 29th 2008 6:49PM
@ROFLCopter
Get a life!
Jake @ Dec 1st 2008 4:03PM
Video taken down, as it turns out it was a Microsoft viral marketing scam. Notice that XB360FB does not want to report that it got scammed by this too.
kentawilson @ Nov 29th 2008 1:52PM
I wonder if that's the same WalMart where they trampled an employee to death. Pretty sad that someone has to die just so a pack of animals can save a few dollars. The economy is not THAT bad.
LilTmac2003 @ Nov 30th 2008 2:32AM
The economy is THAT bad.
Is it sad? Yup.
Is the economy horrible? Yup-er.
TwoBarbedWires @ Nov 30th 2008 3:58AM
whats even worse is that the when the cops came to try and get people to leave they wouldnt because they were shopping and "waited in line all morning" what has humanity come to...
ultimate skillet @ Nov 30th 2008 4:17AM
It ticks me off a bit that the employees kept ringing up peoples purchases after learning a fellow worker was killed...
Was the store closed afterward? It says the policemen tried. Were they successful?

The economy is not that bad. The dollar is strong, and fossil fuels are cheap. Its simply deflation. The entire WORLD'S economy dropped. If everyone drops 20%, are we any worse off? Nope. Its just a deflation of the numbers.
ExpandedFlame @ Nov 30th 2008 11:34PM
I READ THAT STORY TOO
this kind of behavior is DISGUSTING. inhuman, stupid, selfish and down right sick.
that walmart employee was just a big gentle guy who lived in new york. he was killed because of a walmart window/wall shattered because of the crowd and people ran in and trampled him, he was down on the ground for an hour before he was discovered dead/died im not sure which.

Are you serious dude?
Just b/c the dollar is strong, it doesn't mean that the economy is normal. The world economy is low, but the U.S is at all times lows.
U.S alone is in over $10 trillion in debt. The stock market is nowhere near what it was before. Record high more than 6% of people are jobless. All this equals to the economy going downwards.
Mazrael @ Nov 29th 2008 1:55PM
Hey, it looks mental.. least they actually pay for the stuff
Roto13 @ Nov 29th 2008 1:55PM
Wow. Savages. I can't think of anything that would make me scratch and claw for the opportunity to buy it like that.
That must have been one hell of a sale.
MDJ2010 @ Nov 29th 2008 1:59PM
Something about this is very sad and disturbing.
iFester @ Nov 29th 2008 2:10PM
Isn't that a trailer for the Valve Zombie shooter sequel: Left 4 Broke?
ZeoKoz @ Nov 29th 2008 3:31PM
No, this is a video of people going crazy over the last Xbox 360 at a Walmart.... = )
monkeymonkeymonkey @ Nov 29th 2008 6:37PM
wow, ZeoKo wouldnt know sarcasm if it slapped him in the face.
Araskaz @ Nov 30th 2008 9:25AM
Monkey, wow. Are you serious? What he said was a joke. Geez, you people...
drizzle @ Nov 29th 2008 2:11PM
I was at bestbuy and i smashed this guy in the mouth because he tried to cut in line.He pulled a knife on me so i threw 5 ps3's at him and a bestbuy employee tried to man handle my shit so i beat him with a guitar hero controller over the head and made my escape with 2 360 bundles and the dudes girlfriend lol joke
Kinsey @ Nov 29th 2008 2:22PM
Hey that sounds like a good script for Ice Cubes next Friday movie. "Black Friday: Don't mess with my shit"
Khaled @ Nov 30th 2008 10:46AM
haha lol @ the movie
Nathew @ Nov 29th 2008 2:15PM
was that person laughing or crying?
Kinsey @ Nov 29th 2008 2:18PM
It seems it looked worse then it actually was. I didn't see any actually physical problems. People just tried to reach in a grab a box if possible. Didn't look like any injuries incurred. However it did remind me of the old classic Piranha school eating a carcass leaving nothing but bone.
Wanz @ Nov 29th 2008 3:13PM
This shows only some humans have evolved.
Maestro @ Nov 29th 2008 2:20PM
That was a brawl?
Someguy @ Nov 29th 2008 2:49PM
what he said.
matt @ Nov 29th 2008 2:21PM
why weren't the 360's behind glass that could have been avoided
PollockRoc @ Nov 29th 2008 7:08PM
Because then, instead of an empty wooden pallet on the ground, there would have been shards of broken glass.
B-rad @ Nov 29th 2008 2:27PM
I was at Walmart at 3am yesterday morning to pick up the 360-Guitar Hero III bundle, and there was already a line 15 people deep. By the time the sale begun at 5am, the line was well over 100 people long and literally about 50 people were huddled around the checkout counter - perhaps thinking they could break in line and grab one.
Thankfully it was way more civilized than this video, but never once did I forget that all those loiterers standing there might make a violent rush for it when the sale begins.
Never underestimate the power of desperate / stupid people.
I got out of there without incident. And with a sweet deal too.
Tony @ Nov 29th 2008 2:30PM
I think it's one thing to go there sometime during the day because something someone would like to have is on sale... but I'm not about to get up at 3AM or wait in line or deal with all of that stuff.
It's just crazy to me. I'm stressed out enough in my life, do I really need to be stressed out over gift giving? lol
CH @ Nov 29th 2008 2:35PM
wow, nobody died, good for you America ( i think someones growing up *Snif* )
AwesomeToph @ Nov 29th 2008 2:40PM
Maybe not at *that* store...

tojfs7931 @ Nov 29th 2008 2:43PM
Whats even worse is the idiot that is filming the chaos and snickers all the while.
bill m @ Nov 29th 2008 2:50PM
I would snicker too. Every single one of those people whose pushing trying to grab the stuff are idiots, and deserved to be snickered at, in fact I'd even go as far as to say a pointing with the finger and a snicker is in order!
B-rad @ Nov 29th 2008 2:47PM
Because its funny to watch people act insane.
I suspect that the jackasses who work at this Walmart put a pallet of 360's out and was like....
"Alright everybody!! 3..2..1..GO FOR IT!"
Of course there would be ensuing chaos. And it doesn't matter what country you live in. Its called 'human nature'.
bugatti23007 @ Nov 29th 2008 2:53PM
That video is one example of the many reasons why I'd rather shop online.Yet people seem to think its better to shop at retail stores because they're afraid their credit card info will be stolen online but that's because people are idiots.Going outside to shop is more risky then online. Its also easier to compare prices online.
Manvir @ Nov 29th 2008 2:53PM
people are fucking retarded. A man at the walmart near my house in valley stream, NY was trampled to death, all because ppl couldnt wait 10 mins for the door to open. is it really worth it?
Jon @ Nov 29th 2008 2:55PM
That goes to show you never underestimate cheap people ;-) they will win at any cost
WydeSkreen @ Nov 29th 2008 3:21PM
Thank Odin I did my shopping online!
OptimumEDGE @ Nov 29th 2008 3:50PM
I saw a few good deals in the ads, but then I thought to myself, is it REALLY worth it?
Nah.
SeneorGoat @ Nov 29th 2008 3:59PM
Isn't brawl on the wii? lol
LegendaryRedass @ Nov 29th 2008 4:05PM
I hope those people that trampled that walmart employee and the pregnant lady are brought to justice. They make not only Americans look bad, but the entire human race. When walmart had to close the store because an employee had died, these animals got mad and proceeded to step over the body on the way out, like it was just a mud puddle or something. And I have seen more and more people exhibiting this attitude towards their fellow man everyday on the roads and everywhere else. Our society needs to take a look at itself and learn to care about one another. I think part of this is from a minority of people trying to remove God from our lives. You can disagree, but it's true.
BlaznGoldstein (Electric 6 Defense Force) @ Nov 29th 2008 5:57PM

jmart38 @ Nov 29th 2008 4:45PM
What a surprise, it happened at WalMart
Spencer @ Nov 29th 2008 4:49PM
Well I work at Wal-Mart and was there Black Friday morning. About 10 minutes till 5, the crowd started to yell and scream so us managers ran out of the back and found the pallets being attacked. I jumped on top of the Xbox pallet myself (the other manager went for the GPS pallet) and a couple people yelled "F*#@ you!" at me and grabbed the bottom of the cardboard cover (PDQ) and hit me in the face with it and shoved me to the ground. Needless to say, when they asked me a few minutes later for directions to certain items, I sent them to the opposite side of the store so they would miss out on the other stuff they wanted. Haha!
offday @ Nov 29th 2008 5:22PM
That would have been the day I lost my job, because I would have found the person who smacked me, grabbed an item out of their cart, and smacked them over the face with it.
offday @ Nov 29th 2008 5:21PM
I remember when the 360 came out, my friend and I waited at Best Buy along with some other people. There was probably about 30 of us. It was freezing, so we all made a list of who was where in line and agreed to wait in our cars. When the doors opened, we checked out list, got in line, and casually walked in.
It's funny, because gamers are always portrayed as either losers or insane murderers. Just go to Wal Mart on black Friday. You'll see soccer moms, and other "adults" acting like freaking animals. These are the same people who see us as savages. I think it's a little backwards.
