WRUP: Foreign delights edition

So, there's this demo, see? It came out today in a foreign land (foreign to us anyway), a land known as Japan. Now, maybe you've managed to get your hands on it. Maybe you haven't. We're not going to judge you either way. Let's just say that if we were playing Resident Evil 5, we would be enjoying it. See what the crew has been playing below, and don't forget to tell us what you're up to in the comments.

Richard Mitchell (SenseiRAM): Um ... Resident Evil 5. I've been through the demo a few times now (single-player only, so far) and am currently in the process of putting together a video of it. That should tide you over until Capcom (hopefully) releases the demo outside of Japan. Other than that, I've been enjoying Left 4 Dead (just tried versus multiplayer, good stuff), Alien Hominid, and Chrono Trigger for my DS. I've also been playing Banjo Kazooie for XBLA (Xav snagged an extra code with his pre-order), but I'm not quite sure if I've been enjoying it.

Dustin Burg (SuperDunners): For the most part, I'll probably be sticking with Gears of War 2 multiplayer, but may end up dabbling in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts or Lips. Truth be told, I'm an amazing "Bust A Move" singer.

Xav de Matos (Snypz): This week I've been finishing college but that doesn't mean I haven't spent time with the Xbox. Super Street Fighter II HD Remix is chewing up a ton of my time. I'm in love with what Backbone has done and the remixed soundtrack is awesome. Left 4 Dead is still a regular guest star in my living room and yes, I've been playing CSI: Dark Motives. Hey, I like the show. Sue me.

Far Cry 2. I am pleasantly surprised at how much I'm enjoying this game. I've been at if for hours and I'm still only 4% complete. Well worth the (discounted...yay black friday!) price of admission.

Super Street Fighter 2 HD Remix, Naruto: The Broken Bond, Resident Evil 5 Demo, Fallout 3 and Gears of War 2 (Gotta work on getting my insane achievements). Oh yeah and A Kingdom for Keflings.

I played the RE5 demo solo and co op. It's pretty solid so far. Good challenge, too. Only thing I found a flaw with it's a little one but not being able to customize your control scheme. It has four different options but none feel exactly right. Guess you just got to get adjusted to whatever works best. Shiva's also left handed so she appears on the opposite side of the screen from Chris. So the screen won't get cluttered too much by both characters. Nice work in progress, Capcom.

Left 4 Dead campaign and versus. Finish the gears 2 campaign and a kingdom for keflings.

probably get some jiggies in nuts and bolts, then dabble in some TR: Underworld

mostly Gears of War 2 multiplayer, trying to up my rank (currently 2 bars)....

may go out and pick up a cheap game like The Orange Box, Dark Sector or the first Resistance game this weekend...

Finishing the last level or two of Mirror's Edge (I've mostly been playing the time trials as the the storyline is not so fun) as well as digging into SSF2THD and Prince of Persia. :)

Tomorrow, my brother and I are getting together for some hot Gears 2 action and some Left 4 Dead (PC version FTW). We'll also be getting some SSF2THDR matches in as well.

Then on Sunday I'll probably be playing some more Oblivion. I know it's old, but it's awesome. Trying to finish up the fighters guild quest line.

Prince of Persia. Playing my first playthrough trying to get all the lightseeds first. Loving every second of the game.

Probably play some Fallout 3 and Castle Crashers. Maybe L4D as well.

Intending to finish the Gears 2 campaign before Monday, and perhaps also wrap up Dead Space. My poor DS has been no doubt felt left out recently..I bought Chrono Trigger and haven't even opened it yet (yeah I know..I'm a dumbass), and my CastleVania: Order of Ecclesia progress isn't something I'd boast about just yet, either.
