Soulja Boy game coming to Xbox 360 in 2009
There's not much more to say really. Soulja Boy, game critic and online gamer extraordinaire (and also rapper), has dropped a bomb on the gaming world: He has a video game heading to the Xbox 360 in 2009. No details about the game have been revealed. According to Soulja Boy it was inspired by the "challenge" he recently posed to Xbox Live gamers.
In his own eloquent words: "After I put the Xbox 360 challenge up on the Internet, it was over all these video game sites. And a couple video game companies hit me up on my email because I put the email on there too. And hit me up like, 'Blah, blah, blah, blah.' So I was like, 'Oh snaps!'" Soulja Boy neglected to mention which game companies contacted him. That's unfortunate, because we really need to know who is responsible for this. No word yet whether his game will be for people who smoke or people who drink.

Just what we need, another ignorant fool on a video game, Just like 50 cent bullet proof. I really hate these fake rappers these days, Next little Wayne will come out with a game. So lame.
Jeramy @ Dec 9th 2008 2:00PM
ugh please don't compare lil wayne to soulja boy or even 50 cent.
rTwelve xbl:Chilblane @ Dec 9th 2008 2:12PM
No, let's do. I'm sicking of hearing him in EVERY SONG.
GoBob @ Dec 9th 2008 2:28PM
@rTwelve xbl:Chilblane
HA! So true. I'm so sick and tired of hearing his voice. Him and Akon.
Ugh, I HATE Akon. We get it, you like to pretend that you went to jail. Shut up already.
Ventrix @ Dec 9th 2008 2:34PM
I'm sorry Jeremy, but lil' Wayne is absolutely garbage. He is another one of those pop r & b rappers that have ungracefully helped destroy real hip hop. He talks about STD's and girls menstrual bleed. He throws random sentences in his lyrics and he calls it rap..... i don't think so. Listen to some real hip hop like Jedi Mind Tricks, Jurassic 5, and Wu Tang.
Dave @ Dec 21st 2008 9:02AM
for being so sick of lil wayne, you guys sure talk about him a lot, and listen to his music enough to acknowledge his presence in it. I'm pretty sure you guys secretly like him, whether you admit it or not.
un4gvn94538 @ Dec 9th 2008 1:52PM
more like its for people who smoke AND drink
vahdyx @ Dec 9th 2008 2:47PM
I smoke and drink and still won't be getting this game!
Ed @ Dec 9th 2008 7:09PM
...because you're going to die before it comes out?
Jesse @ Dec 10th 2008 6:14PM
@Ed: I'm pretty sure I haven't died from drinking and haven't even come close to dying due to smoking, and neither have any of my older relatives.
Now on the other hand, I know people who have died but neither drank or smoked... hmmmmmm... maybe its you who will die before the game is released!
I DeX I @ Dec 9th 2008 1:54PM
Gotta love the brainwashed youth of America.
Ventrix @ Dec 9th 2008 1:58PM
So true
AjDaChipmunk @ Dec 9th 2008 2:08PM
OK, Soulja Boy, wackest "rhyming talker" in America. He does not deserve a video game.
And I kinda think the last line of the article was kinda uncalled for...
xenocidic @ Dec 9th 2008 6:21PM
if you're talking about the "people who smoke or people who drink" but you'll have to watch his braid review to understand the joke.
sjs2626 @ Dec 9th 2008 6:43PM
They weren't referring to him, but this video: http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/17/soulja-boy-tells-em-about-braid/
AjDaChipmunk @ Dec 9th 2008 7:34PM
Ah, ok I see. I didn't bother to watch his Braid "review" before.
Perno @ Dec 9th 2008 2:08PM
It will be a game made by a gamer...I'll probably rent it. Couldn't be any worse than Need For Speed Underground.
Lanceo9 @ Dec 9th 2008 2:17PM
what about yaris?
lysernix @ Dec 9th 2008 4:15PM
I'll put money on this game being leaps and bounds better than Yaris. Yaris was so god-awful that it remains the only free game that actually made me disgusted it was so bad and prompted me to immediatley delete it *AND* go searching for ways to expunge it from my recently played list.
So... anyway ... it will be better than Yaris, by default.
Heck... I would possibly rent it depending on the game's premise. For one... I got a barrel full of laughs from his "calls out ecks-bocks" gamers video.
Chester @ Dec 9th 2008 2:09PM
oops never mind, guess they deleted that idiots comment! GOOD!
iamnotafish @ Dec 9th 2008 2:14PM
The image is only funny with the caption that Joystiq gave it (http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/09/soulja-boy-game-coming-to-xbox-360-in-2009/)
Otherwise, its just a random picture of an Xbox 360 gravestone.
Sylvanus @ Dec 9th 2008 2:21PM
Thanks for the clarification, but I think we all got the implied caption anyway...any game this pathetic coming to the 360 is at least a flat line.
BKB @ Dec 9th 2008 2:14PM
Lil Wayne = Soulja Boy. They're both awful... and I like rap.
I hope you can "superman dat ho" in his game
kentawilson @ Dec 9th 2008 2:18PM
You must don't know shit about rap if you comparing Lil Wayne to this fool.
Ventrix @ Dec 9th 2008 2:42PM
Agree. Lil Wayne is not real hip hop. He is another joke of the industry. He is their to make his money then bounce.
joeybeast @ Dec 9th 2008 2:20PM
I'll consider a rental if I get to shoot Soulj Boy in the game.
Binja @ Dec 9th 2008 2:21PM
Soulja boys music is popular due to the fact that it celebrates ignorance. It's listeners hear it and realize that they are not the only stupid people in the world. It is comforting to know that you are not the only waste of genetic material clogging up the planet. His music gives its listeners a reason to continue failing and teaches them to reject those who make any attempt to better themselves.
But here is the thing: Without "people" like Soulja Boy, who would make you french fries? Who would pump your gas? We need people like Soulja Boy to give the ignorant a role model to cling to. Otherwise they might better themselves and become active members of society. If their are too many doctors, nobody is left to clean the bedpans.
So yeah, I am totally buying this game. God bless Soulja Boy. Without him I would not have any dopes to mop the floors at my college, take my order at dinner, polish my hybrid, or give me a sense of smug satisfaction each time that I pull out my iPhone to make a call or open my MacBook to fire off an email. I love the poor and ignorant people of the world. And Soulja Boy keeps them that way.
duro @ Dec 10th 2008 1:35AM
ok, i think you are taking this a bit far. have you ever thought that some of the people that do these jobs dont have any other choice? All the jobs that you mentioned are good honest ways to make some money. not everyone is as privileged as you are with your iphone and macbook, as if those were status symbols haha. what would you do if you didnt have all these people doing things for you?
anyway back to the point. its like anything else that you dont like to see, hear or do, just dont. If you dont like hearing lil wayne, 50 cent or soulja boy all the time, stop listening to the radio! thats your problem right there. if you dont like soulja boy, dont buy this game. i dont like tony hawk games, i dont buy them. then good games like skate come out. lets look on the bright side, when this game flops, companies/rappers in this biz to make a quick buck might think twice.
SiGuy @ Dec 9th 2008 2:21PM
Yeah another stupid game possibly after a one hit wonder rapper. But it's not the rappers who makes the games... it's the developers who design it. Everyone that has posted so far sound like a bunch of urban youth haters. Just don't buy it the game like any other lame game that has been put out. Stop the targeting of the icon being used and criticize the actual designer jerk-offs... bunch of McCain-Palin assholes on this site. Go eat yourselves.
Miguel @ Dec 9th 2008 3:16PM
"mccain/palin assholes"?
Nice generalizations buddy! I'm sure everyone who criticizes soulja boy is automatically a republican, and an asshole at that.
This is a website for gaming, one in which most people like quality games therefore they have every right to criticize what seems to be a crappy cash cow/sellout game.
drdre74 @ Dec 9th 2008 2:22PM
its going to be dumb dance game i bet. Who can do the stupidest dance combo together.
Timerider @ Dec 9th 2008 3:03PM
A dance game with shooting.
AoE @ Dec 9th 2008 8:09PM
@Timerider, so he's making Space Channel 5 part 3? If that's the case, I'm in!
DJcube @ Dec 9th 2008 2:29PM
I don't think I've heard of him since that song he made ages ago that I've completely forgotten.
gregzkit @ Dec 9th 2008 2:29PM
I read this article and I jizzed...in my pants.
Demolition Elmo @ Dec 9th 2008 2:35PM
It's a d*ck in a box.... An 360 game box in this case....
MDJ2010 @ Dec 9th 2008 2:32PM
Just wait for a Kanye West game.
I can imagine a quote from him now:
"This is the most culturally significant game of all time and I'm the best person ever, blah blah blah."
I AM RIDDLEZ @ Dec 9th 2008 2:33PM

AjDaChipmunk @ Dec 9th 2008 2:46PM
Proper English and grammar. Use them. Form complete sentences and try your FAIL again.
melloncollie @ Dec 9th 2008 3:05PM
What the fuck does this even mean?
It's like you typed letters and, by chance, made words.

"jh sdjkh ajksdh jas dhg jh sdhg dhag hdgahd h jhhj jh jh jhh jaiduwyieqo sjhaid oqxn pwya a aiwud iquy ddf!"
That is just as comprehensible as what you wrote.
SadisticHam @ Dec 9th 2008 3:57PM
I think we've found a fan, i guess that's at least one person that's going to buy it.
imbecile pete @ Dec 9th 2008 2:43PM
i dont like the sound of that...0_0
Haohmaru @ Dec 9th 2008 2:55PM
I have never heard a hip-hop or rap song that I liked. It's just not my kind of music.
But I'd still rather play a Kid 'n Play game than this. House Party FTW!
Timerider @ Dec 9th 2008 3:00PM
Uhh, can someone translate? I don't understand his dialect.
NobodySpecial @ Dec 9th 2008 3:04PM
I have no idea who this person is, and why I should be appalled. I suppose I am no longer "down with it", or whatever crazy lingo you kids today are using.
TTSP @ Dec 9th 2008 3:10PM
You guys also forgot T-Pain he is also in every song, I enjoy rap but not when I hear the same 3 people in ever F'in song!:@
Alex @ Dec 9th 2008 3:31PM
America has it easy. Here in the UK we are burdened with 'bands' that are ALWAYS called 'The [something]s' Think of almost any radio-friendly word and put it into the above formula and you are almost guaranteed to have got one that actually exists. The worst part is, they all sound the same too.
The only 'indie band' that breaks this formula are Scouting For Girls... And seriously, they are the worst kinds of people. I damn them to the lowest floors of Hell.
