Like magic, Fable 2 Knothole achievements appear

In preparation for the Fable 2 Knothole Island DLC's release next Monday, Xbox.com has been updated with a listing of Fable 2's new achievements. All unlocked (of course) through the Knothole DLC. The three achievements tally up to an additional 100 Gamerscore and, for the most part, are targeted towards the story progression.
Side note: What's up with Fable 2's use of helping or seeing "another Hero do so" to unlock achievements? A bait tactic to encourage co-op play?
- The Collector (25GS) - Acquire all the mystery items in The Box of Secrets shop, or see another Hero do so.
- The Meteorologist (50GS) - Bring all of Knothole Island's weather problems under control, or help another Hero to do so.
- The Bibliophile (25GS) - Find all the books detailing the history of Knothole Island, or help another Hero to do so.

Probably is a way to get people playing co-op together. I can't say i'm a fan of Fable 2's co-op system but its certainly a great feature to be able to get the achievement with a friend. More games should offer co-op achievements.

How lame, there should be more than three achievements. They should have spread 100g across 10-12 achievements. I like my achievements to be creative is that so much to ask?

Most people care more about the amount of time spent in making the game rather than thinking up achievements.

Not for these, but in general its a way to get achievements without "messing up" your character. Some achievements are good/evil. This way you can do them all without being forced to go against your character.

Looks like another DLC package will further extend the gamerscore cap from 1100-1250?
Or maybe it will burst at the barrier like Halo 3.
Anyhow, I'm getting the DLC :)

actually i take that back, i really really enjoyed fable 2 so i dont really care about the achievements, as long as i enjoy the game thats all that counts n ill deff be getting the dlc, so ignore my last comment lol. still thort there wud of been more but nvm

I need someone who bought the pub games to help me get the dog backflip & the other expression. That or Lionhead needs to put out a patch that puts those books in the game. It bullshit that they were able to get away with having to pay to finish some achievements.

I'm just upset that a feature like co-op was spoken about in such high regard from the beginning and turned out to be such a patch-job and afterthought.
In any event single player has been fun and I will be getting the DLC.

No different than the existing achievements, there are 30+ achievements already that have the "or see another Hero do so". So there's nothing new in these 3, they're just following their existing pattern.

Knothole island is soon to be updated and to cost 1.6k MP, those of u who bought it will still have it for 800 MP less if u have all achievements, quests finished, and all items discovered from knothole island u will gain a special achievment once this update comes out worth 500G but it is hard to get. You will also get seals (knothole island demon doors), wyverns (knothole island gargoyles) and skeleton keys ( knothole island silver keys) 25 of each, Wyverns drop the keys which u use to open the seals. There will be 36 new achivements for a total of 1.2k-1.7k gamerscore, the island will be bigger and renamed Knothole, note that there is a glitch on knothole island of where u can see and buy Fertile Farm, which should come with the update, due to this we have put the cost of it at 1 billion gold until the update comes, it is a one GOLD star farm BETTER THEN FAIRFAX. Well anyways i thought id just tune you in on this. Noe that anyone who says this is a lie do not know I am from Lionhead Studios.
